Can anyone explain the difference between these three front arms that fit my TRF buggy? I understand one is hard, one soft, but what is the third? Which is least likely to break?

51275 Lower Arm
51283 High Traction soft lower arm
51141 High Traction lower arm

They are all listed here at the bottom of page 4 from the TRF502X:

The 51275 are the strongest, I use them on my 511. If you do happen to break one you usually still manage to finish the run.

Thanks for the advice. Much difference in handling with them?

Lee uses them so I would say the handling difference is minimal.

We list 3 different types of front arms, a brief explanation of each:

1. 54141 is the high traction stiffer type front arm which doesn't flex and offers good grip, but is more prone to breakage when hit.

2. 54283 is a softer type which does allow a lot more flex and when it does break doesn't shatter but instead cracks.

3. 51275 is a medium grade arm but has 20-30% more material and is visibly thicker to look at. This is a good strong front lower arm that offers a compromise of the 2 above.

Hope this helps you in choosing a suitable part.

Just to confuse matters a little more there is also

51311 - DB01 Original front arm

These are a little softer than 51275 but same amount of material
I've broken them, but they only ever go a bit at the inner hinge-pin.
Never snapped one in half and usually been able to finish a run!

I cant tell any difference in handling but usually a tad cheaper to buy.
