i just got a newly built sx3 and was wondering if i should get the aluminium blocks that mount to the lower bulkheads front and rear and also the aluminium eccentric bearing holders too...i have an original sx that i can borrow them from...not sure if it's worth the hassle to rip apart the one car to upgrade the other one...advice ?

I replaced all but the blocks exept behind the front arms, after a race day nothing broke but there was a chunk of plastic cut missing from the block.

As far as the eccentrics go, I did as you thought and borrowed them from my cat, I find they are easier to adjust.

the ally eccentrics are FULLY adjustable (ie you can fit them in any position thoughout the 360 degree's) whereas the plastic only have a limited amount of movement.

I found I couldn't get the rear belt tensioned correctly with the plastic eccentrics, but was spot on with the ally ones.

Also I've broken a couple of rear plastic pivot blocks recently.

So my advice would be to fit all the ally bits :-)

Front alloy suspension blocks yes, rears no. Only options I'm using are the front alloy blocks, alloy front diff covers and FAB.

The car is good out of the box, you don't really need any hop-ups.

i thought there were some issues with the plastic blocks that's why i was concerned...besides, it's never really about needing is it ? :D the fab is a front braking system ? necessary ?

Had my fair share of rolls and crashes, never had even the slightest issue with the plastic suspension blocks.

FAB isn't absolutely necessary, but it is a very good tuning aid. I suggest you use the standard car, see if you break anything and then replace it with option parts ;)

The FAB is not avalible and hasn't been since the release of the SX3.

There is no idea of release date.

That was what i was implying. Out of stock and has been since the sx3 came out same with rear alloy blocks and the eccentric diff adjusters.

The separate parts are/were in stock though. The FAB system will be in stock shortly.
