Be very careful. I was 13 when i got scammed lol. I sold an ipod for 200 pounds. Paypal send me an email saying that the money wont be showing in my account for 3 days but i have to send them a parcel tracking number, and it all looked very realistic. So in my stupidly i send the item to Africa!!!,and no money. I send them a email 5 times but nothing. I printed all the documents which they send me for future reference.

I have learned from my mistake.

Paypals email is Something like PAYPAL@.......

Scammers email should be something like PAYP7467@

But they are all different.

And also notice the logo is a low quality picture on the scammers email..

The womens story was...

My husband works for a charity comapny in Africa and i am buying this as a gift for him. ( through ebay) i said would you like extras and she kept saying yes, And then the fack paypal took over. She stopped her ebay account. I tried contacing ebay and Paypal for a partial refund but nothing!.

and thats my life story lol...

Thanks

Never ever click on an Email from Paypal. If it's a genuine issue they'll notify you in your account.

I get halifax, barclays and HSBC emails on a regular basis, pity i've not had an account with any of them for at least 10 years....... ditto with the paypal scams.

TBH, with all the coverage these scams get, i am regularly amazed by people getting dragged in.

I get world of warcraft scams to my personal email, but when we had domain ownership issues a year ago I swapped the account to my work email and all the scams goto my old email :D
