Hi all,

David Home (SX3 racer at the national) is looking for people to race in Ballymena on Saturday September 24th.

I went up last time and it was great. The track is astroturf with good jumps.
Anyone like to come this time?

Will

It in the grounds of the Eco Centre in Ballymena. Will find out starting time and post it up here, but I seem to remember 9am is when we arrive last time.

Yep, think track opened at 9-9.30 for practice last time Will. I'm not sure about what kind of race fee will be involved this time, I would hope only around the £5 mark. I will get in touch with Steven McClements of the NIMCC and get back to everyone on this. They were kind enough to let us have the use of the track for free the last time but I think it only fair if we contribute this time round.

I will be free finally from night shifts this week so i will head to ballymena on the 24th. Is there a preference to what car lads are looking to run 2wd / 4wd

Just had this reply from Steven from the NIMCC

Hi David

Good to hear from you again. Race fee's are £10 per day which seems to be the norm now adays. No issues with you guys coming along - keep an eye on the forum for updates on times etc.

See you then

Steven

I ran 2WD Cougar the last time which was a bit tricky when the track was wet, but when it started to dry, (and it dries quick) the car was great. If I remember Will, Ian and Colin ran 4WD.

Really enjoyed the racing. Looking forward to being more competitive with the new cars next time :)

Will there be someone from the Ballymena club's committee at the RCCAOI AGM to propose that they hold a 1/10th National Round next year?

Although it would be ideal for them to hold both a 2wd and 4wd round (they have to be on seperate days), I'm sure it would be acceptable for them to hold just one if they wanted to do so. Of course, that would be down to the RCCAOI committee.

I will try and get in touch with Steven McClements or Alan Scroggie from the NIMCC. When and where is the AGM being held Will?

Just got confirmation that both Alan Scroggie and Steven McClements will be in attendance at this years RCCAOI AGM. Regarding the National rounds, Alan has said they would need to have a discussion with the club but can't see any reason not to run them.:thumbsup::thumbsup:
