You have done it now mate, I was at this meeting. As Tamworth Buggy Association helped with the running of this event. I am in the first photo, the not so slim guy leaning up the grey pillar. I think my job was to keep an eye on the marshal`s and the standard of driving. It was a memorable easter weekend. And meeting alot of important people, Mike Reedy, Jurgen Lautenbach etc. I knew some of the UK driver`s as they used to come to Tamworth for testing on the dirt track.

All of the driver`s where presented with an engraved glass tankard. There where a few left over, so some of the TBA members who had worked that weekend got a tankard each and we where paid ISTR 40 quid a day!. I still have the tankard, I will get some photo`s of it up.

I remember reading about this in a magazine which relatives sent me and being totally blown away by the pictures of offroaders on foams. It just didn't compute back then

I was there to, can remember getting the phone call to bring foams from the guys that were there already. I still my tankard as well.

I also remember getting stuck in traffic at the end of the meeting going beck to the hall to load all the gear and having thousands of fans screaming for whoever was performing elsewhere in the NEC.
