The latest incarnation of the Team Durango DEX410 has been announced after much speculation over the existance and spec of the buggy.
The new DEX410V3 takes up the challenge of replacing the very highly-specced DEX410 '2010 spec' kit, and whilst the new buggy doesn't include much of the aluminium parts of the predecessor most of what you'll need seems to be included and for a vastly reduced price.
Hilights seem to be the inclusion of 'Big Bore' shocks, a new rear alloy hinge pin hanger which uses plastic inserts to change anti-squat, large 14mm hex's for the wheels front and rear and the new cab forward body seen on team drivers cars recently.
Check out the full press release and photos here:

This will either result in a further downgrade or downpricing of the DEX410R, or even discontinuing it altogether.
One hand hand it's sad to see Durango are letting the over-specced, over-engineered philosophy go a bit for prices and parts that make more sense (I think the plastic shock towers on the DEX210 are a bit of a pity, though I'm sure they are at least as good as their carbon counterparts).
On the other hand, the V3 car should be a better car out of the box: 'available to the masses,' fixed or improved on many small things on the car and made this car more sensible and grown up in a way - after all, the 48 euro aluminium sidepods (per side) were one of those awesome but kind of uselessly over-specced parts
Keep it up Team Durango! What's up next? 1/5th Buggy (brushless?), 1/10 TC, FWD Buggy, Belt drive DEX410?

Bargain and think I'll have to get one for my winter car :p
How mad is it that durango's arch enemy, the lipper, came up with the name V3, which durango are now using for the new car .

fantastic spec for the price. Surprised by the carbon towers and alloy suspension hangers at this price, absolute bargain. I'm in the Florida at the moment, going to Superior Hobbies next week, would be great if they were out before September 20th, but I doubt that the US will get them this month.
I'll be getting one at home next month. Any more word on the DEX210 ?

The price has come down from almost 500 euros down to practically half that - pretty mindblowing! :o I'm also wondering about the DEX210, I really want one, but I don't want to (pre-)order one until Durango have it officially on their website (which means I can have a more thorough look at it).
PS: The answer regarding the DEX410R is on JESpares: there is a listing for a DEX410R V3 at 190GBP vs 261GBP for the DEX410 V3.

Have to say these are amazing prices! £261 for the latest full fat Durango!!
Im sticking with the new FS2 SP though, just wish it was a little cheaper...

It's not full fat, but certainly pretty good.

Is there, or will there be a new 2011 spec model released at a higher price then?
Or is it just a case of this years top model not being quite as high spec as last years?

No idea, you'll just have to see what they do.
Personally I'd rather have a lower price car and then choose my upgrades etc.

The MAP of this kit is $369.00, €241.18, £217.83 (excluding VAT)
Any idea what the specs are of what seem to be 3 different versions? High FAT vs Low FAT but looks like a MiD FAT(soymilk used maybe?)

Dolares-Euros and Pounds
That is the price in the diferent coins ,not 3 versions ,there is just one car .

There are two versions, the DEX410 & DEX410R.
The DEX410 is as you see in the press release.
The DEX410R is unchanged, although it would make sense for the plastic parts to become consistant accross both kits at some point, just as a rolling change.

So is it cheaper to buy a 2010 spec and buy the big bores or is it better to buy the V3 and add the bits that have been taken away (or were they even needed ) ?
Answers on a postcard

it'd be more shock towers and if the prices are similar to the original towers that'll be £40-50... HD cups £10... Big bores... £95... newer shell £15... newer rear holder £15?... 14mm Hexes £5?
It'd soon add up to convert if I had to guess.
