12v Power Supply

Guys,

I have a protrak charger that is capable of charging Lipo but is only 12v input. Can anyone recommend a stable 12v supply? and what is the max ampage that needs to come out of it? Someting that i can plug into a 240v supply ie what you have at home or indoor series.

Any help would be great

There are quite a few options for this, I personally use a much more 24amp supply as it allows for running quite a few bits of kit.

i run 2 x chargers, 1 x car stand with fan and a tyre truer with no problems.

If you are in any way capable around electronics, use an old power supply from a computer. Thats what I did and its cheap (cost me nothing as I had an old one) and it supplies not just 12v but lots of other voltages too.

I've also built a couple PSU-based power supplies - and they work great. If you're clever, you can get them packaged up quite tidily as well.

No fuss, no muss. You do have to rewire the output cord to something more useful, but a quick google will set you straight.
