Every year my wife Katie and I run a charity Trackday at Castle Combe.
Earlier this year I lost one of my School friends to cancer. Graeme Breen was 28. At his funeral Graeme's family told me about the help he had been given throughout his life by Florence Nightingale Hospice in Aylesbury. Funds Raised by this years trackday will go to them.
Graeme used to come with me to the occasional touring car national. He was a very enthusiastic RC racer and was thinking of getting back into it when he found out about his cancer. We Used to race at the Leighton Buzzard club back in the days when it was at the town Garden Centre.
Our last event was at Castle combe on the 27th November 2010. We raised £1999.50 for Cancer Research UK and over £2300 for Birdham Nursery School in West Sussex.
Details of this years event.
Prices Trackday Space £160

You must know Brian and Ilsa Cox as they are instructors at Castle Combe too? I look after their Seat Leon Supa Copa race cars for them. What is the noise limit for the day? 92 or 98dB?

Not now as we currently have 27 drivers booked. We'll run 15 minute sessions for the first hour and then make it open pit lane.
It'll be a very relaxed day though and a lot of the people coming are regulars and behave well. Anybody misbehaving will get sent home.
Theres a limit of 12 cars on track at any one time so the track will never be busy.
