I know, I know! Seriously early to be taking about this.
The EFRA AGM is in January, and so far only one venue is proposed.

http://www.wmw-fehring.at/

Its in Fehring, Austria. An hour from GRAZ and accessable with Ryanair via London Stansted @ approx 170 euro return.

So how many places wil we get for next year? 1,2,3 or more.

EFRA AGM is the first week-end in November, 6-8.
(See here: http://news.efra.ws/index.php?id=347)

So it's not really too early to be thinking about Euro places.

We apply for as many as we require. Then it all depending on how many places other countries want, places are allocated out.

Talk to me if you want to know how it all works.

MiCk B. :-)

Dates have been confirmed.

9th - 14th July 2011 - in Fehring, Austria (google maps 46.939422,16.020641)

Ireland is applying for 3 places.

1. Derek McCloskey
2. William White
3. Michael Bolger

Hopefully we get all the places we need, but as nobody from Ireland attended the Euros last year, we are at the mercy of EFRA. We may only get 1 or 2 places.... fingers crossed for 3.

AerLingus are having their annual sale on in January,
I suggest the driver(s) going books flights then.
There are direct flights from Dublin to Vienna, Fehring is about 2 hours drive from Vienna. I'll suss out car hire.

Fly in on 8th - Sunday morning, fly out the following 15th - Sunday morning.
Hauler bags can go from here to my Aunt's house in central Vienna.
Excess baggage on flights costs about the same as shipping the bags - but without any hassle or missing equipment and its tackable in insured.

Minutes are out for the Efra AGM , looks like we got 3 places. Only 134 in 2wd and 122 4wd places looked for.

Shipping is much cheaper then excess baggage.

Excess is minimum €10 per kg.

It's shipping all the way for me!!

Interesting thread for those traveling by plane to event this year

http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?p=602944

Best policy seems to be to put lipos (event two packs if they fit) into the cars and take them on as hand baggage.
