View Full Version : Winter Warmer Series 2011-12

Our annual Winter Warmer Series kicks off this Sunday and over the next six months. There is a round each month taking place on the first Sunday although with New Years Day being Sunday 1 January, we have deferred our event back a week.

This choice of race date ensures that EPR doesnt conflict with any other local club or major series within a sensible distance. Hopefully this will encourage more to attend our meetings that have proven to be very popular over the last few years.

The same proven format will be retained for this series with four qualifiers and a final for all. There are no tyre restrictions so drivers are welcome to use what they choose. Our December meeting will incorporate a raffle to add to the festive feeling.

The track is 90% Astroturf and drains very well so the inclement weather rarely affects our meetings. Parking and pitting is available trackside with an on-site cafe and bar as well as a safe area for the children to play.

If you intend to come down and havent raced at the track in recent years, please e-mail your details to "edenparkraceway at live dot com" so we can save some time at booking in. Please include your full name, BRCA number, frequency, BRCA formula and PT numbers if applicable.

The dates are as follows:
2 October 2011
6 November 2011
4 December 2011
8 January 2012
5 February 2012
4 March 2012

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to PM myself or Brookie or through the EPR site at www.edenparkraceway.com

Just to confirm... are we running short course this winter?
Cheers,

Ty,
Yes indeedy, as long as we get enough turn up to create a reasonably sized heat (to satisfy marshalling requirements of the following heat without constantly requesting to additional volunteers!) then we will, though we will almost certainly run mixed heats of SCT and Stadium Trucks as in previous years!

martgifford - gates open at approximately 07:30 (no need to turn up any earlier and we would appreciate drivers not turning up earlier and creating any unnecessary noise for our near neighbours!), track very definitely does not open until 08:30 so plenty of time to get set-up.

Hope to see you there, weather looks to be set fair and we are expecting some big names to come out for their first Winter outing! :woot:

I wish I could come out to play, but work won't let me :(

Oh well, there's always next month. Is it it 4 out of 6 to count?

Charles, you never cease to amaze; that was probably the most confusing thing I have read all day...

Should have been at the track today Paul, Charles can now produce an endless stream of confusion for all levels for a whole day.....amazing ability!:woot:

And yes, it is indeed 4 out of 6 to count towards overall Championship position.

All looking good for the morning!

Cheers to EPR for a great day, it was the first time we had raced so we were inevitably quite rusty...but we will be back!
