Anyone got an old DF-03?

I'm looking into to getting an old DF-03 off a friend, and was wondering what parts you guys (who know more than me) would recommend to buy to make the car club competitive...

Good cars, I used to race against my mates, and it was always competitive.

What ESC/motor would you put in this? and what size servo and receiver?
