I take it for this you will need an EFRA licence?

No mention of BRCA in the drop down menus..

my guess practice Friday, qually sat and sun morning followed by finals. I think each racing round will have all classes, ie you do 2wd r1 and then 4wd r1 like in US. They have controlled tyres in ets, so it would make sense to have them in eos, and did at the pilot round in April.

How will the americans (assuming they come) fair on carpet at Ardent?
You'd have to assume that they will be at the sharp end of the racing, even though the US Associated drivers will probably stick to the B4.1

Really looking forward to this event!!

Timetable: You can se here how it was done in Sweden at the Pilot race.
http://www.myrcm.ch/de/ets/20110401_147948/EOS_2_WD/index.html
Friday was 2wd, Short Course, 4wd in each round.
But saturday and sunday was like 2wd and Short Course in the first half of the day and 4wd in the second part of the day, worked very well.
So you did not have to change car every 30 minutes.

We will do the same at the DHI-Cup so you can run both classes.

Sorry guys, we haven't managed to get the keys yet, so will be carpet with ramps designed by Buggy racers (Lee Martin, not touring car drivers :-). We will also use different track markings. All the feedback from the Petit event will be applied, that was our first attempt at buggies and we have learnt a lot from it. The EOS will be even better you have my humble word :-)

This is what lotussmart said in the Ireland section some weeks ago

Hello racefriends,

thanks a lot for your entries for EOS start at Ardent Raceway.

Yesterday we got info, that there is another important event at same weekend, what we did not know before.
Now we are in contact with some people to decide, what to do. It´s not good to have at same weekend 2 nearly same events.

So please if you did not book hotels or anything else, wait for new informations.

If you booked anything for our EOS start, please contact me.

Because of your entryfee, that´s no problem, we can keep it for another date or we can give it back.

Sorry for no better information, but we hope to find a good solution for everybody.

Greets Uwe

Got this email this morning :(:(

Still no refund from the organisers for this event, looks like thats my money lost then! would have thought with Scotty Earnst and Uwe Rheinhard involved there wouldnt have been a problem, shame could have been a really good event. certainly wont do this again!

Wow finally got a refund for the event. Shame I am still down for hotels etc. Safe to say I will never enter into another event hosted by this group in any class after this mess.

James , I kept emailing uwe and scotty(at least once a week)looking for a update, plus i sent a paypal request hitting the reminder regularly( again every few days) back to the orginal a/c i paid for the fees.
Email wise i made a point of highlighting the dates and the amounts paid and if it was paid via gift or general payment so there was no confusion as to who i was and what my a/c name was.Plus of course what event you want the refund for.
My feeling is that uwe and scotty are not the paypal a/c holders hence the delay is happening with refunds as they have to confirm between who ever is invovled. Still no excuse as with the event cancelled there should have been a complete refund to everyone who had paid. If they could have posted up that we had paid it should have be easy enough to have just refunded those paid up drivers

Good luck with it.

yesterday tyre test managed by JP at the Arena.
Why ,to test Dboots tyre and see how they goes at the Black Country Arena.
Nico as test Multybyte in B compound ( the softer) with a soft insert.
( medium insert may be good if not better )
After a short time of practice, the answer is very good.
A little less side grip a little more forward grip.
We have compared with our usual Schumacher Mini Spike andthe verdict from Chrono show a sligt advantage to....Dboots.( Nico has Seb Wartelle as sparing partner).
And about wear......really good track time ,the same as the Mini spike . A big half hour of race style driving before to see performance go down.
We also have try Mulibyte A compound with hard insert.....to forget.
Soon ( sunday) test from another Dboots profil

After having receveid bad feedback from quick wear of the Nanobyte on carpet we were curious to see them on astro.( tyres wear way quicker on carpet)
Good surprise also here. Due to there small pin profil , side grip and formard grip are top ,sameon the slippery wood and block surface.
After ( more than) 30 minutes of practice grip is always top same if pins showed sign of wear. So no need to change tyre every run. Totally possible to drive one set a day ( if not more).( Same as for the EIR race )
So advantage to the Nano for higher performance , control on slippery section and no break-in needed ( compared tothe multibyte).

Elvo has just try nico's used multibyte and found them Ace ( a chance i didn't try the Nano lol )
Tomorrow JP send a feedback to Uwe.
Another important point isthat tyre are normally availlable at the track directly from organizer.

EOS 2012 TO BCA - Tires

After test by Nico Risser, The organizers chose the A. rubber Nanobytes
The tire is really performing at the Arena and its very moderate wear.
After 40 minutes of intensive run, the Nanobytes was still very efficient.
Test driver chose Nanobytes, the best tires from Dboots for the Arena track.

I also read that 2wd is in the morning, 4wd in the afternoon, is this correct?
