thinking of getting back into racing and getting either a b4 or a xxx-cr and was wondering if anyone has had issues with fitting cells into the chassis due to the cells getting bigger just want to know as this is the only thing pushing me towards 4wd. As i dont want to get a car build it then get cells and they dont drop into the chassis.

ive run gp4300 IB4200's in my cr and b4 and they all go in no problem and the new 2008 cells are slightly smaller so you shouldnt have any problems at all just make sure you get flatish battery bars not big chunky ones.

A lot depends on your soldering as well as the bars like ashleyb4 says.

I've got 3 sets of IBs (non exploding ones just yet - touch wood:woot:). 2 go in - just and the third is a bit of a mallet job but still fits.

Due to fear of exploding IB's I've gone for Orion SHOs for 2008 spec - these fit no problems at all as they're fractionally shorter.

Older cells like GP3700s, VTEC 3700s or GP 3300s virtually slop about.

Buy hey - before long, we'll all be running LiPo anyway:eh?:
