For anybody interested the above works with my 3vcs a treat, and such a bargain at only £29.99.
Has a slightly smaller footprint than the Futaba 603 receivers so easier to get that tidy install we all strive for  only downside is what to do with 2 aerials?

Hi D4ve just read a previous thread about Frsky recievers. I have just bought one to replace my 603FF for my Futaba 3GR. my problem is the instructions dont tell you how to connect it up. How do you connect power to it as all channels are identical and numbered 1 to 4.

Thanks

Keith

hi these are primarily aero plane rx 's

futaba normally assign channels as follows

1 aileron
2 elevator
3 throttle
4 rudder

i would try steering in ch1 and throttle in Ch3 to start steering may poss need to be in 2 just plug and play see which reacts to what you shouldnt burn anything out as live voltage (red wire) is down centre wire

Steering in 1, throttle in 2 and off you go. The other channels will take a receiver battery or booster, and your PT, but it doesn't matter which is which.

Mine was perfect - bound first time, finds the Tx signal as fast as the 603 when you switch on, and reacts exactly the same as the 603. Mine's in a 12th which will find any response or interference faults very easily and so far nothing untoward to report. I've got one aerial running up the aerial mast, and one taped to the chassis - the aerials should be at 90 degrees to each other when the car is viewed from the side.

So far an excellent piece of kit that works, and costs a fraction of a Futaba item. I'm very pleased. HTH :)
