So how long do you give people to reply to PM's that are rather important?. Especially when you know they've been logged in twice since you sent it? :(

48 Hours maximum, in my opinion.

Poor effort by them if they have been logged in twice & haven't had the decency to reply to you  it don't take long to send a simple message
Leave it no longer than 48 hours than go after them
( sorry just been watching Spooks) lol

The one that realy gets me is when you are sitting on oople for a while and somthing gets posted in the for sale section, just what you are after, so within 2min of the post you pm the person to say you will have it if it's still avalable and how would they like to be payed.....then you wait..and wait, they are still loged on to oople..wait some more,3hours later they send pm saying sorry mate sold, then put sold on the post.
happened to me more than once, I think what they do is wait to see if anyone they will bump into trackside will have it, as it will save on postage., in both cases they were quite well known racers and there gear would be in top notch, thus in demand

Depends - if it's the wife, pretty quickly (if you know what's good for you); if it's a close friend, depends on if you find it important; if it's a not so close friend, when you feel like getting around to it; and if it's some internet stalker or somebody hassling you, you put them on ignore. :woot:
(reminds me of these people that text you and expect an instant response, and I tell them "if it's that damn important, call me")

Alot of the time I log in on my phone or at work so I don't have time to respond to PM's. Also I get quite a few so I tend to go through them in batches.

Don't want to come come across as stupid (be very careful, Alec), however I do confess to being computer illiterate. But, most of the time I don't realise I have a PM even when I've been on for days. I either have too much on my mind to notice or just blame the booze :D

No sorry mate , the Americans have captured him
