Right, im not too sure what to do to be honest. Ive got the 2 in 1 program box and i want to put the most up to date software on esc.
What ive done so far is;
Installed the software from the disk provided and plugged in the program box. It says there is an update but it says failed to download.
The current software on the box is V1.07_110119
How do i get the latest software to download. What have i failed to do (probably something daft!) Should i have connected the esc up to the box at the same time?
Heyelp!

The program box displays this
Device type 2 in 1 program box
Hardware version HW310 V1.0
Software version V1.07_110119
Choice version V1.06.100512 (no other choices)
i take it that this is out of date?

you must have box connected to esc and box connected to pc/lappy all at the same time

When you figure it out you must down lowed the software twice . that's to the two in on box, and the speedo. If you google hobbywing you will find a tutorial on down loading the software.

The video does explain everything really well.
I did the typical man thing and ignored all instructions. Did the software mod only to find that the program box wouldn't talk to the new software. I hadn't updated the program box!!
Re-did the lot again and hey presto it all looks good.
Watch all the video and even the bit at the very end about resetting the speedo to the transmitter is important. Remember to plug the speedo back into the receiver to do this, I didn't, then wondered why it wasn't working.

Glad you got it all sorted. You've only missed one other poo-trap which is not explained elsewhere...
If using this speedo with a 1S pack, always set the voltage protection to 'Non-protection' from the PC when downloading software updates to the speedo. If you don't, then when you plug in the 1S cell, the green LED blinks and nothing happens. For reasons that surpass understanding, if you set the voltage protection to anything else (even 3v) the speedo expects to get at least 7.4v and throws its teddies out of the case! If you choose 'Non-protection' is seems to work fine.
The answer is always to use a 2S pack for software updates, to reset to your radio, and to set the voltage protection separately from the 2-in-1 box to what you want before you race. If that is done, all goes well. Hope you like the speedo as much as I do - really good kit at a great price. HTH :)

Has anyone tried the latest v3 firmware available in pc software 1.64 ? I am going to test it tonight to see how the boost and turbo modes operate.

not seen any appreciable difference in perfomance its designed to be more tolerant of poor sensor signals and stop them dropping into sensorless mode so easily

I've not noticed any difference using 'blinky' mode and MOD mode.
