SDMCC as of today has a disabled ramp in place for wheelchair users.

Also, the entrance into the main hall is very accessible and very wheechair friendly. Its a smooth flat run with no steps from the level car park into the hall itself.

Here's a quick pic of what was built this morning by some great members of our club.

Doors open at 9am. Pitting is going to be a bit tight. So we will all have to put our tables in a tidy row to have access etc. We not sure on how many will turn up, so we will all need to pull together to organise the pits. A few of the swansea members will pit in the store cupboard to give more room to the pit area.

There is a vending machine, and coffee machine in the building next to us, and toilets etc. car park is right outside the main hall we race in, and its all flat, so no steps.

There will be 240v available, however there aren't many sockets in the hall so either bring extensions and multi sockets, or if you want to make things easier bring a 12v cell. (like I'll be doing)

Jamie.T
08-11-2011, 09:29 PM
I have absolutely no idea Dave. Im not entirely sure who's compiling them all to be honest so don't even know where to ask. But I'm sure by the positive responses had it will be a good meeting with a good entry.

Look forward to seeing you all there on Sunday.

Just a thought if swansea wont b able to help me and chris out with a substitute marshal instead of us(unless u want me and chris to marshall that is lol) would n e body be able to help us out?i understand its a busy day for everybody and an extra heat of marshalling is not what n e body wants but if n e body volunteerd on my behalf id be happy to help them out with there car of the track whilst they are marshalling as i think that would only be fair.

Exactly right Steve...my BIG cars clutch pedal broke last night...pulling off from the tolls at the severn bridge which was interesting!

Hope you've all had a good day though...by the looks of facebook it should have been a massive turn out of micros :woot:

Oh and I just want to say well done to Jay for making his first A final on his return to the WRCA championship in his current situation.

You don’t remember most of the day Jay as you blacked out 4 times- but you drove well stuck in some good time with good constantan scores 7 +6 and Im well pleased for you.

Im sure Jay will be online soon to thank the Swansea club for there hard work and effort in making sure he can race and have a troubled free day

big dave
14-11-2011, 09:52 AM
Thanks for the good words guys. im sure the whole club will be happy with the feedback for there efforts. small things like this go a long way.

Really enjoyed the day. The banter was good, good to see Jay back racing. and a real good turn out for the WRCA. If the other rounds get a turn out like this then is should be a good season.

Good fun, well organised, good turnout.

As one of the people whos car wasnt regulary counting laps, much appreciated to the Swansea crew for changing the loop again... and again.. and again.. and finally chopping out the resistor on the loop... Worked perfectly after that :)

Shame Millzies motor burnt out in the 2wd final though, he might've stopped The Racing God's 2wd victory... and saved us months of Steve going on about his win

Credit where Credit is due, He did drive like a racing god from round 3 onwards- Im almost convinced he would have tq'd round 4 if his turnbuckle had not come off- it was close between Spence and him for a Schumacher front row lock out- but they both suffered front ball joint pop off after the double.

Ether way it was the best i have seen Axe drive and it shows he has more talent than his 4wd flat out if in doubt driving style leads on( only joinking Axe) - he kept me honest in the final and it was a really good race for 3 ½ mins

Roll on Caldicot and let the battle continue
