Hi all,

We had an issue on Sunday that caused some problems for some racers.
Racing started late, then caught up on time, and then ran late again as race control relaxed.

So, we are going to try and run meetings from now on "Automatic".
This means that the computer will run racing to the clock.

We will pilot the following timetable, and modify it as the committee sees fit.

Heat 1, Round 1 will start at 11.30am - this will be 2wd Clubman
There will be 5 minutes from the finish signal in any heat to the start of the next one.
There will be 20 minutes from the end of the last heat in the round to the first heat of the next round.
There will be 20 minutes from the last heat in round 4 to the start of the finals.

If yesterday's meeting had have been run on automatic it would have panned out like this.

Practice 1030hrs
Round 1 1130hrs
Round 2 1240hrs
Round 3 1350hrs
Round 4 1500hrs
Finals 1600hrs
Event over at 1650 hours.

I think everyone would be happy enough with this.

that's fine as long as the club realise that it's not holding a world championship...I don't mind at all if the club runs relaxed...or if they hold race up for someone.I don't mind either way .I've been grateful for this in the past..after all we are a small racing community and we are all friends..well most of the time lol..

in fairness the schedule above seems more than adequate..shouldn't be a problem

No fear Mark (Happy Birthday BTW ) the club won't loose its Clubman "easy-going" attitude. It's just with no official race controller, an automatic system needs to be piloted. See you Sunday :D

Hi Lads,

I thought today went very well, 3 heats & 3 finals. I think everybody had enough time to work on cars and had plenty of time on the track, what more could you ask for

Thanks to all for a great days racing

Hi all.

Just a quick note. That a great days racing was had today with the automatic race control.
It went smoothly with plenty of time for all tuning to be done

It looked professional and can be perfected

Congrats to LEE Mc Guire on his win today. WELL DONE.

Can't wait till next week

FTQ system of qualifying was a success I would say, no problems at all and think everyone was happy enough. I really enjoyed the racing in the clubman class, it's so close and exciting and well done to Lee McGuire, you nailed it buddy!

Yes a very well run event , now get your entries for
WINTER RACE IRELAND (we (i) could possibly do with an extra minute between heats as with running 2 classes & new drivers things are a little tight )
Well done to Lee on a deserved win.
