Hi Guys,

I know it's early but it's going to take a bit of planning!!

I was speaking to the school yesterday, and we have the option to use the either the Grass playing field or the astorturf football pitch to make a temporary track.

So if there enough interest then we would look at running a series once a month from April-August, with maybe a 2 day event late July/Early August.

For the two day event camping would be available on the field, a hotel less that 2 miles away. A couple of pubs in Deanshanger, BBQ facilities at the school. Kebab van opposite the school.

Let me know your thoughts.

Ahhh, the good ol' days of grass track racing!

Well with both available we'll be able to mix it up a bit... would certainly help with planning around any bad weather forcast.

Would this cancel out an indoor summer series for next year?

We would continue to hold the club nights during the week in the sports hall but race ourdoors during the summer months on the Sunday meetings. and then return indoors for the winter series in October 2012.

Indoor racing tends to die off, during the summer months.

Another issue is that during exam time the hall will not be available during the week so we will have to use the fllodlight astoturf in the evening for a couple of weeks.
