Hi guys, looking into sorting out some midweek indoor racing in the Coventry area and I am wondering about wooden floors and the effects of running rubber tyres on them basically will the venue have big black lines all over there nice polished floor or is traction that low that there is no effect on the surface?

We've never seen black marks on the floor from normal racing. The biggest issue we have seen is marks to skirting boards from wheel axles protruding beyond the face of the wheel. And some marks up the walls! The paint marks from tyres real easy.

Back to the floor, cars landing on front shock towers etc are your biggest concern.

At Faversham bar the shock tower as said. Loose chassis screws make a mess of wooden floors make sure you use carpet after jumps.
As for tyre marks, yes if people hold throttle on againest ropes.
