look like there is a new Oscar Jansen edition motor

knicknamed the 'OJ Special' on most sites

it seems to have the new soldering tabs that the TC guy's used at the worlds which are meant to be easier to solder. looks good in a retro Black and silver stickered can with a new endbell.

any thoughts?

they actualy designed to accept corally male connectors so you don't need to solder, plus the endbell has cooling lots cut in them to.

arent they smaller than the corally connectors ? like the mrt / keyence / CS mini sized ones ? look to be anyway.

Look great to me, if he has them at the euros I'll be getting one.

Yes they are the smaller connectors. I'm still not totally convinced i have to admit!!

for off road they might "pop out" - I think thats what stuffed up one of masamis runs at the touring worlds. I use Deans on my motors (in 2wd) and its great being able to swap motors quickly.

If they are the small one, you will have 'pop out'. One of the local racers used to use them same connectors, and once you have used them a few times, they become weak.

You also have the brush braid in there now, so no need for soldering, and it will make it a tighter fit.

what, you mean the brush braid is jammed in with the plug rather than soldered ?

Can you buy these now? Anything which is less hassle and removes the pain and grief of soldering is welcomed by me!

These might delay my move to brushless for a little while longer.
