Hi quick question, I've got a 1300 Kipor generator that I used last year at the Nationals, have not used it for about 3 months and when I went to it there was no petrol left. Tried to start it over the weekend and am having problems, cleaned spark plug and checked and just wondering if anyone has any ideas how to get it going or someone I can try and fix the problem

Sounds like you just need to draw some fuel through TBH.
Our club has a 1300TC that never ran properly so sent it up to a company in the Lake District who are a Kipor seller/agent. According to them, a service is under £20 and they can do it in an hour. I can forward you a contact name and the e-mail if it helps.

What sort of problem?
Does it start and then stop or just not even trying to start ?

Has it any fuel in it at all? Unleaded fuel 'goes off'.
Clean out what's in it and the carb and it should go again.

I've had this before and vermin has exactly this problem with his now. The fuel crystalises in the jets of the carb so little or no fuel is drawn through. You can clean them out yourself and see if that fixes it. If not then get it serviced.

Also check you have enough oil in it.
I have read that they have a cut off to stop them starting with not enough oil in.

sometimes the alternators don't kick in properly. If thats the case you need to convince that to start spinning - this can usually be done by starting the gennie a few times and turining it off almost straight away and then re starting it.
My kipor did that when i first got it, and doing that described above sorted the problem out, and it hasn't happened since.
