Which type and size of brushless motors do people run in their 2wd & 4wd Buggies :)

I've got 2 novaks, a 5.5R, and a 6.5L.
They look great . They haven't ran yet though, so I can't comment on that!
I've ran a Nosram Dragon 10.5 for a good few meetings too. I like it, but it is clearly underpowered against brushed modifieds and brushless mods.

I used a Novak 5.5L in my 4wd yesterday. Impressed and very happy with the performance and speed of it.:D:D:D:thumbsup:

LRP VECTOR X11 6.5 bonded in 2WD - as Mick Cragg would say - "Bonded is the future" - if I want more ponies I drop in a 6.5 (bonded)
LRP VECTOR X11 5.5 bonded in 4WD - 4.5 sintered just for fun and southport :p
Slightly off topic but while we have the LRP guru here i might as well ask.
I tried my NOvak GTB with a LRP 6.5 in my b4 the other day it was geared on a 20t pinion with kit spur (81 i think)
It had good speed and felt really nice till it stopped the motor cogged a little then did nothing, any ideas? I doubt it thermalled as i drive like a woman and ran a 5.5 in the states in the bj4 without a fan on the gtb and it was ok.
I took out the sensor lead made sure it was clean but no change??

must be the novak part of your setup :p
actually, I have no idea, if ever I feel any kind of driveability issue I replace the sensor cable, no matter if it looks good or not. make sure its fitted correctly both ends.
does the motor 'turn' easily and feel nice? are the normal lights doing the normal thing on the speedo?
last thing I would check is that on the motor tabs, make sure there are no stray 'hairs' bridging the tabs, get a knife and clear anyting from in between the tabs (with the car turned off)
EDIT - gearing seems fine, I run 20/84 or 21/84 which is about what you are running.
