I got my ifrst ansmann x2c today and raced it at taplow, I was amazed at the handleing and how ballance and forgiving it was. I was atleast 1 second a lap faster than my old 22. Thank you ansmann!!!

Shock are threaded. Im running Ally idlers, std spur, balls and diff gear but upgrading soon to kevlar and the slipper assemably seems fine at the moment and havn't heard about it being bad. Ally front bulkhead with weight helps and under servo and lipo weight. Are you running high medium or low grip because High like taplow its fine with no weight but at MKGP was medium/high grip and it helped with a 122g under lipo weight which let me push the car a bit more. Havn't tried under servo weight yet but hope to soon. Uprades:- C hubs 30 deg allows some fine tuning and kevlar front chasis plate might come in handy, i've never broken a front chasis plate but seen it happen to a few people, -kevlar spur and diff gear will come in handy too and the motor plate seems a bit soft so the upgrade is not needed but helps motor with a bit of cooling and allot stronger.
Hope this helps.

if you have stick packs you can get the X2c and buy the mad monkey chassis and battery holder as that will take a stick pack

Don't forget you need a new shell too and they aren't so easy to get clear.

Well i raced my X2C in ernest for the first time at the weekend and i was delighted with it. Finished 3rd overall at the West Coast Open up here in Scotland. Not bad for first outung with it.
I have a couple of alloy bits on it and big bores but apart from that it was standard. Great car to drive, very forgiving and very well balanced.
Great car!!

i would go with a nylon idler so that is some heat goes through it or there is too much stress it will give up rather than destroy your diif and gearbox

Ben,
Please go for the nylon one and not the metal one; I tried them both and found that the metal one did not mesh that good (crunchy noises).
Nylon sounded much beter and the transmission was much more smoother.
Just my 2 cents!

The metal gears are fine. Just make sure you clear that teeth on the diff gear out of any crap from the old chewed up gears. Clean the gearbox too

I haven't heard of any issues with the rw idlers (AR28T) even when using the std spur gear and 6.5t motors
but the alloy idlers are a tad noisey

You dont need the alloy gears, just the nylon ansmann ones! I ran all this year with nylons and never had a problem!
