Hi guys,
Ive bought a Cat SX3, so am selling my SX/SX2.
(pics are at the bottom of this post...)
Here is the history to the car.
Bought 1 year ago this month from a Schumacher A Team driver. This car competed at the highest National and European levels and as such was incredibly well taken care of and setup.
I have continued that with very regular maintainence, a host of upgrades, new bearings, etc
More of that later on...
So why is this Cat "unique"?
Well, because of who owned it before me, it has two prototype carbon fibre chassis' with it. You cannot buy these at all - they were never made into full production, but only available to the Team. The chassis that is fitted to the car has the holes for the locator bumps which are found on the new lipo packs. The spare chassis is the older lipo pack type with slots for holding the stick pack.
Both these chassis are super flexible yet strong giving amazing grip in even difficult situations - a very cool upgrade for those who race dirt,grass,outdoors astro, etc.
The car started off as an SX, but has had all the SX2 upgrades fitted as well.
Upgraded / altered bits:
- the chassis (see blurb above for details on these)
- rear shock tower (I am giving you two, one standard, the other custom with 4 mounting holes for even more setup options)
- steel layshaft/idler upgrade (33/22 internal gearing)
- ceramic diff balls fitted to both front and back diffs - 3 meetings old
- diffs recently rebuilt and carefully maintained (using Nuclear's excellent greases)
- SX3 wing mounts fitted
- balance weights added to rear left side of car to make it ride the jumps and bumps better
- rear roll bar fitted
- titanium turnbuckles all round
- full alloy steering block
- stronger SX2 front wishbones fitted
- stronger 4mm front bulkhead and pivot blocks (10 degree) ** N.B. these are not the original ones bored out, these are the upgraded larger ones straight from Schumacher. Really super strong. **
- SX2 black pulley fences all round
- recently fitted 3 new belts all round (3 meetings old)
- ** almost brand new Big Bore shocks fitted all round! These shocks are actually from my new SX3, and have been bought from new, built and only done 3 races. They are immaculate. No point me holding onto them though, as my shocks are the same, but setup the way I like, and I use Losi springs not Schumacher ones.
- new front shock tower fitted
Also throwing in with the car a big load of spares that might help you out:
- complete anti-roll bar kits front & rear (with mounts)
- alloy motor mount
- extra CF chassis
- extra CF top deck
- extra CF lipo battery strap
- 5 spur gears (1 on car already, 4 extra)
- 6 rear wishbones (varying degrees of use, some new, others damaged but usable)
- spare rear pulley
- spare idler pulley (complete with layshaft)
- idler gear covers
- spare idler gears
- 2 x full alloy rear pivot assemblys
- 2 x alloy 10 degree (left) front pivot block
- 1 x alloy 10 degree (right) front pivot block
- 4 old shock spring seats
- CF turnbuckle tool
- 4 complete CVD driveshafts (2 front, 2 rear). These are the old ones after I replaced them to keep everything running smooth. Nothing wrong with them, still perfectly usable.
- loads of "wee bits" - pully fences, old style wing mounts, bumpers)
- new set of front plastic yokes (1 right, 1 left)
- NIP rear wing (short - u5100)
- 6 additional belts (2 of each one) - with varying degrees of wear from little to alot)
- 2 x front springs (think they might be the same as whats on the car already, at most 0.5 of a difference - cant read them as they are well scuffed through use)
- 2 x rear springs (again, scuffed, but definately different than whats there already
I'll also throw in an old bodyshell, understary and 2 wings but they are fairly beaten up now.
And, because its Christmas and I like you, I'll also throw in 2 full sets of tyres and wheels. N.B. these are for bashing only, they are old mini-spikes and not much left on them if anything, so please dont use them for a national or anything :thumbsup: They are only there cause otherwise, they are going in the bin (I HATE yellow wheels! :))
And it all comes in the original SX box (in great condition) with manual, and some team driver setup sheets from nationals, euros, etc printed out, some blank setup sheets, and a few notes.
Price reduced to £115.
This includes PayPal charges (not as a gift, so you are protected) and also First Class Recorded Delivery via Royal Mail so the postage is insured too.
This will strictly be on first come first served, as I think that is the fairest.
