Having trouble with the motor cutting out started doing it after a bump but now seems to be more often when the motor cuts I still have steering. so I dont think it is a lipo cut issue as this would shut down the bec and stop every thing? all conection look good from esc to motor etc Setup is Xray T2 2009, ESC Losi excelorin, motor speed passion v3 13.5t, rx/tx acoms 2.4ghz technisport and using orion carbon 4600 lipo. I think its an esc issue. Any ideas or other thing to check please.

Try a differant sensor cable

Not somthing i thought about, would running it without the cable be ok? What would be the symptoms if the cable was faulty? As it is the motor cuts then wont restart properly untill the tx throttle is returned to neutral the re applied.

Sounds exactly like a faulty sensor cable to me, so the symptoms are what you're describing!

Without the cable the problems are very similar to what you've got now.

many speedo's wont work without a sensor cable connected, be careful trying it without as it could overheat very quickly

Thanks for that  Another thought could the motor timming be causing this? I f I use the ESC to give Timming advance were should the motor timming be set?
