I think its due to the new C4.1,rango 210 launch.
ive seen 22s selling at £100 so they can buy these new ones.
I know £80 is a good price but an extra £20 will get you a 22.
Hope this might help mate.

no offence but a lot of 22 drivers have gone over to the ansmann as its a better handling car. (their words not mine) i have no experience of the 22

I have gone from 22 to x2c, but i would sell for around £70. I try to get more than I can get. Good luck with selling :)

I think that the ansmann range still has an image of 'cheap plastic cars' to some people at the moment. If they actually bought and tried one I think they would change there mind's! . But as has been said earlier with so many 22's going cheap most will go safe and buy one of those instead.

I think this is just a case of getting what you pay for. I now run a X2C and i love it. Yes, the quality of the plastic is not as good as other cars but what do you want for £130?
Look at it this way, i bought two X2C kits for £240. You really cant argue with that. One car to use, one of every spare!
If you look at the conversion kits like Vega and the Centro 4.1, you realise that they are a bit on the expensive side. Dont get me wrong, the quality is there but to pay between £160 and £200 for what is only a conversion where you still need a donor car, is it worth it?
Each to their own but i am impressed with the X2c.

I agree with you Dave,I have an x2c and ive not felt more comfortable driving a car since I had my losi xx years ago!. Even though the plastic quality doesn't look as good as other cars, I've had no breakages on it at all.

I dont think the plastic is any worse than others out there, i think the only thing that "lets the car down" is the use of e-clips, i think it makes the car look retro and that because it doesnt look "modern" due to the hinge pins not being captured people are put off...
Its the small things people notice and nit pic at! IMO
I hate e-clips but i put up with them because the car is brilliant!
Re your car... I sold my old car recently with some spares and a new shell, it had been fully rebuilt with new wishbones etc... I asked £80 and got my hand bitten off! I think a clear shell helps so people can paint it to there scheme...
Try asking £70 ono and see what you get

Hi Gordy,
My thoughts are that you are asking for too much money.
I've looked at your car both on here, and on ebay, and considered it.
To be completely frank, anyone who buys this would want to buy a replacement body shell. These are available at £19 plus postage. By the time you add this to the £90 it will cost to buy your car, there is less than £20 difference between yours and buying a new one. Regardless of how much use yours has had, it is still used.
Also, dont forget, you're trying to sell this at the end of November, a lot of people are thinking about Christmas, and generally, less money is being splashed around at the moment.
Please dont take this the wrong way, it's just my opinion.

Yip, i agree about the e-clips too. Kinda made me feel i was back to my Mardave again :) but i dont agree with the plastic being as good. It's certainly a lower grade.

I found the opposite the plastic is a lot stronger than my x6.
At the end of the day if I don't get around £70 for it I will keep it.
It's just not worth selling for less

The problem you have is that the majority of people who run or are looking to run the x2c can or have got a sponsorship deal with Ansmann. This means that the majority of people buying the car can purchase it for not too much more than you advertising it second hand for.
Whilst i'm sure you know what you doing in regard to building/maintaining a car but others don't, and when buying any second hand car you take a risk as you don't know the history.
A clear shell helps sell any car. Taking the costs of a new shell into account your asking price is simply to high.
Another thing is with ebay, people like to bid on stuff, if your auction had started at 99p but with a reserve of £60-70 I would say that you would get bidder, and maybe even sell it for near to your asking price.

So do you think £70 is to much?
It's a far better spec than a mad monkey for 65

tbf like others i had seen it advertised and ummmed and ahhhed about enquiring for spares. I didn't want to take the mickey but couldn't part with more than £60 + P&P for it imho.
Again, dont take it the wrong way, just trying to be honest

Yes.
As I said, the cost of a shell plus what you asking for it is probably what an Ansmann team driver can buy a brand new car for.

O well it looks like it's up for grabs for £60 plus post then

I sold an X2c about a month back, It had a few alloy bits and a pro shell, I advertised it at £80 and it sold in about 3mins flat!
I must of had 10 phone calls in about 30mins.
Got the full £80 too.
I would say for a standard X2C £60 is fair.
Its all about the advert too, Make sure you have plenty of GOOD pictures, Take them outside in the daylight. and use a decent camera. People like pictures, if i sell a car i take 4-5 and list them all.
and also put plenty of pictures on. Be honest with the description.
Everything I have sold on oOple has sold within the day.

I feel a right mug now- bought new one for £135 last week! Not a very enjoyable build (compared to working on my Mugen 1/8) I'd forgotten how horrible e clips are- especially the ones on the front Kingpins- but it's all new so no inherited issues - looking forward to running it soon
