geared diffs on x4

hi guys

does anyone run the geered diffs on the x4?
if you do can you point me in a general direction of what oils to start off with please.
i race indoors on medium grip carpet and outside on high grip astro

I'm fairly sure that they are not available yet. I would suggest as a starting point to look at a Durango set up sheet.

I received mine yesterday. Ill start with 7k front and 3k rear and go from there. Ill post some results next week :)

Is the diff gear (not the gear diff) made of aluminium or plastic?
Is it a direct swap or you have to modify/change the housing?

there are pictures on the Team C website. They aren't yet available through Ansmann Racing, but hopefully they will be shortly. From the looks of it, they will be a direct drop in fit, no modification. I'm not sure on the material used.

They seem to be made of steel.

I will upgrade my casing as I still have the original angled rear diff housing.

The only pics I see are with the housing, no naked diff :(

In fact, I am thinking about fitting a gear diff to my FS2 (Kyosho) car. I don't want to use noisy metal gears, so I won't take the Durango route.

This T4 buggy looks very good, a shame we don't see more of them.:drool:

The diffs come with an updated casing hense the pictures.

So if anyone has them can we have a picture of the parts before assembly.

The geared diffs do not come with a new casing. You use the standard one with a little bit of trimming on the front lower part.

Im running a kyosho rear housing cause I had issue with the stock. The gear diff fit as well but need more shims. They are steel thought so will sound like the durangos.

Billyboy is right, it doesnt come with the casings and need to be assembled.

ive not tryed a geared diff as of yet but i have been running the caster metal ball diff gears and have had no problems at all all you have to do is swap the diff balls to 3 3/2 and off you go. i have been speaking to mark redmond who is a driver for caster and they have a geared diff allready out what will fit without eny internal modification.

First night with gear diff was good. They wearn't too noisy. Now that the diffs are good, I need to work on the setup.
