Another month already!
So who's out to play this week?
If I manage to get the Lazer repaired I'll be running with the other vintage runners, the RC10s will have to wait until another day:lol:
Talking of vintage...... For those of you looking to run in vintage, if the numbers are high then as mentioned at last week's driver briefing it is unlikely that you will be able to run another class.
In fact that is likely to go for everyone based on recent numbers!:o

@ Pete or Andy, Is it going to be feesable for me to run 2 classes this Friday night? (2wd & 4wd) bit confused by above post regarding vintage as well as another class
If its a no i wont bust my balls to get the cougar finished
Cheers

Basically...each week we are watching the numbers and trying to limit the night to 6 heats to make sure we get a full 4 rounds of racing in.
What that means is...you are basically guaranteed to be able to book in with your main preferred class, and your second 'optional' class will get booked in as long as there is space for you to run it!
It's a plan we've had a place for a few weeks now, especially when vintage is running as there is automatically an extra class over the usual 2wd/4wd/micro classes, so the risk of loosing your second class is greater on vintage weeks.
That said...to my knowledge no one has had there second class refused yet...but just in case be aware that there is a plan in place to keep the night running smooth
So...I'd keep working on your cougar if you get the time....because most likely you will be able to run it...only a slim chance you won't
Hope that makes sense!

I was refused a micro run last week, so only got to run 2WD.
Not that I mind, just saying.
Edit.
Maybe refused is the wrong word ?
Maybe, there was no room for me is better?

I asked Chris if I could run in two classes, 2WD and micro. He siad if there was room and asked me for my 1st choice. My name did not come up on the micro heats. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind at all, it's very bussy in the micro heats. I'm sure Chris would have squeezed me in if he could.
After Christmas I'm going to buy a Losi each for myself and Alisha. The plan is to race micro at Cobra once or twice a month, small hall, small cars. 2WD every week at Caldicott :)
Alisha is WELL up for it !

Interesting...didn't know that!!!
So the new system did something...next thing is to make sure it does the right thing each week! :)
Keep us informed if it affects you...we do try to keep everything under control, but if you suspect otherwise at any point just let us know! The way to check is to look at the heat listings, we try to cap the number in each heat to about 7-8, maybe a few more in micro's as the track copes ok with that class.
Cheers for letting us know

sorry Rob my mistake. I remember you asking about racing micros aswell as your 2wd, I should have wrote you in my little book. It does get busy doing the booking in, and I prone to the odd mistake. All I can do is say sorry. Does this mean i've got the sack??

You don't think that we'll let you get out of it that easy do you Chris?!
Obviously we'll have to dock your pay for a week :p
As Andy says, just shout if there looks to be space in a heat and your name isn't present, we can then sort it out. At the end of the day we want everyone to race as much as possible and have fun so that you all keep coming back!

Dont worry matt i'm with you, cant have these rc10boys having it their own way ;)
Oh yes Dave forgot about your Manta...
Ive taken off one of my self-queens for this friday... an all brand new Super Astute. Full period carbon graphite chassis & shock towers, Hi-caps with Hop Up square section springs, Thorpe-modded TTC gearbox & diff for reliability and the luverly old Ballistic Buggy 5-spoke wheels.
No late-model add-ons at all, apart from 501x turnbuckles so i can actually adjust the camber and toe-in...
Only modern parts are the electrics - 10.5 Losi, 60a Hobbywing, 5200 Lipo and Align servo.
Hope it dosent drive like a bag-of-shite on our track or it will be back to the Top force
