Only charge on a Lipo charger, recomended charge is 1C - this means you can charge at 5.2 amps (or less - takes longer), your charger possibly has a max of 5amps this would be great, balance charge (not every time) to keep them matched - you don't want uneven charged cells, store 3/4 charged, don't over discharge or run battery till flat - you charger may not recharge it, always disconnect when left in the car even if the switch is off.

Hello thanks for that my lipo charger will charge up to 6amps but I don't understand what you mean by charge at 1c

Your cells are 5200mah. 1c is 5.2 amps. If yours were 4200mah then 1c would be 4.2amps

The BRCA and most will recomend 1C (whatever it means, 1 times the AmpH) for charging, the battery manufactures may allow more, thinking is 1C is safer and the battery will last longer. Confusing at times - output is shown in C, 30C and burst higher etc.

Charge at 5.2 amps and balance charge often

You can assume the batterys will always be half charged (after a 5min heat, charge between heats etc) so half an hour will fully charge them, you can take them off the car and charge again & again, one battery can be used for a meeting - but best to have a spare I find.

Did I mention charging in a lipo sack at meetings and being very careful not to short the battery (why would you).

Lipo's are another item that has changed the sport, no more discharging, no more balancing of individual cells or thinking that top drivers have the pick of the batterys, all equal now in that department.
