Just gauging really, is there many X4 owners on here ?? I bought the X4 based SC truck kit which is alot smaller than the usual SC trucks. Therefore undecided to sell the X4 bits off or just keep them and run it as an X4 with a new shell etc ?
Is there much call for the parts etc or not enough users/owners to worry about and just keep it ??

there is plenty of owners out there but to be perfectly honest, they do not break that often and the parts i do carry in my pit box, probably about 5 items..
so don't think it would be worth splitting for parts..

Thanks Dave, assumed it would be fairly tough, just doesn't make sense why they sell it as a SC truck when its only 3/4 the usual size ???
Nevermind, will get a CORE and transfer the electrics to that instead

What electrics do you have in your 4wd one currently?

550 motor, 120amp esc - runs the 4wd fine, shouldn't struggle with the 2wd core

Sounds like a bit to much. I only race a 10.5 non timing advanced one in my car and it is plenty for racing.

Really ?? I thought it would stuggle with the bigger wheels and weight ? I only use it on high grip astro so that would add alittle strain too.
Got the 550 now so will just turn it down, or run the truck to destruction :D:D

I have raced mine on high grip astro and carpet so far. I made a chart that compares the gearing between truck wheel size and buggy wheel size. So basically you gear the motor to give the same rollout between buggy and truck. I usually go a pinion down on what the chart suggests due to the extra weight of the truck.

I've stripped the X4 down to buggy level now and sorted out a core truck
Got a couple of options esc/motor combo wise so I'll give them a go and see how we end up, probably upside down and on fire :woot:

What truck did you get?
I went and got the losi xxx sct. Going to drop a 7.5t and lpf from the monkey. I've been told there should be no problems as its only 2wd.

Got the ansmann core as it shares alot of parts with the x2 i also have.
I've got a couple of options for the truck combo
9T 60amp
5.5T 80amp
4.5T 550 120 amp
I think I'll go for the latter and see how it flies :thumbsup::wub
