Is the BRCA going to organise a booking / maybe discount? Whatevers nice, affordable and close to the track and other 'good stuff' - never been to the track and indeed never been to italy, so I've no idea :(

Copy of the email Jimmy:

Dear All,

The organising team in Italy have now finalised some more details.

If you visit their website www.afmodels.com (http://www.afmodels.com/) you can find details for:-

Booking an entry for the Warm-Up race in June.
Pre-ordering tyres for the Warm-Up and/or the actual European Championship.
Book hotels for either the Warm-Up or the European Championship.

The guys in Italy operate their own system for reserving Hotel rooms.
Instead of me having all the hassle of a 'Group Booking', you individually reserve your room by using the details and booking form on their website.
They have operated this system the last three times that I have visited them without any problems.

You will notice that there are two Hotels nominated. On past visits we have all used the HIP hotel. I will make some enquiries about the Gallia hotel and mail you the details soon.

so we all need to decide which one to stay at then ??

Hotel Gallia is the cheaper one of the 2 but no one has stayed there by the sounds of it .
might need a vote ??

It needs it's own bar or one very close... has to have open front so us brit's can sit out side and rate the females with the marshall point numbers!!!!

Also no dodgy blacked out windowed clubs with uncle festa on the door in the vacinity....

So which one then... I suppose we could book in each one for 1 night when we go to the warm up... that is leaving it a bit tight though.

The HIP is for want of a better word, situated in a truck stop on the side of a main road!! I thought it was ok as hotels go, has a bar and restaurant, but not much else.

The time to track between the Gallia and the Hip Hotel are almost equal.
The Gallia has the better breakfast.

Cruise.

The nearest was i think in Alpignano which is as I hope to remember right a little nearer to the Gallia but easy to get lost.

Cruise

In fact itīs almost on the way to Gallia Hotel if you don`t use the Motorway as I have done a little research on google earth

I stayed at the HIP hotel for the Worlds and it was fine. No comment on breakfast and we only ate in the evening there once.

I think it is around ten minutes from the track and we found that the best thing was to stop for food on our way back from the track.

Matt White summed up the location well but it is better than it sounds.

For the 1:10 world champs, I think it had the majority of the drivers in it so cant be that bad...

I liked the HIP. The surroundings aren't that great, but what do you want - a Royal Park for those long walks you all take after dinner??:woot:

Biggest advantage of the HIP was the excellent route to the track. I soon got into the Italian driving style - our record was through four sets of red lights in one trip. Hotels closer to the track don't offer this record-making opportunity!! Hope you all enjoy the event.

The HIP hotel room wise is ok. The bar was pretty expensive from what I remember from the Worlds and previous Euros and sold out of beer etc pretty quick. The food was appalling tho. We ate twice in there at the Worlds and both times refused to pay for it. Sh*te in my opinion.

Im of the same ideas as Wraggy. As long as everyone stays together the atmosphere is always good.

Im sure that Mick Cragg said he stayed in a good hotel when he was over their with Neil?

Hi there

As Deuv said, the frenchTeam can recommend the Campanile Hotel.

I stayed there at the Worlds...
cheaper than HIP
cleaner than HIP (our shower at the WOrlds Warmup at HIP was not clean, a friend had caught something to his feet there)

...and I can give you a good & cheap Italian restaurant Address where we eated quite all evenings at the Worlds...top Italian food...(I can do the trip back only for their profiteroles...)

Cheers
Jean-Christophe
