Come on chaps. Lets have a bit of fair play. If you don't like having to wait whilst somebody else tries to juggle family life, a job and all the other shit that gets in the way of painting your toy car shells, then buy a compressor and airbrush and have a go yourselves!!!!!

Its Neon pink, blended with Fasberry & Neon Yellow with Green Tips.

I also used the Faschange Purple on the black areas, Its a transparent purple metal flake, Looks really good when the light hits it.

It really looks 100% better in real life :wub

Hey mainly I use RCS LM, It's the best!
I use it on all my shells.

I also have a vinyl cutter, I use that for text or details.

Well here we are again. Note my original request for someone to paint a shell for my lad on the 27th jan. during this process I had agreed to have a further two shells painted and paid up front for the work and two shells.. This was a big mistake it would seem.

A week after the B4 shell was required the shell tuned up sprayed but not protected just bare spray which I hadn't expected possibly naively.

Sine then nothing has been delivered despite numerous emails, promises to get it sorted and an offer to refund the cost if the original shell paint job. My SSS shell has still not arrived despite in April being told it was 90% complete and waiting for some fresh paint. Also by way of a refund for the original shell job and one for my Blitz shell I was told he didn't have the funds to refund me so we agreed to have a pair of lrp speedos sent with the SSS shell.

Well you may have guessed this hasn't arrived so 6 months after agreeing to do work I'm £110 out of pocket and have a single b4 shell in my possession, it must be the most expensive B4 shell on the planet as it stands.

Recent emails to Matts work email address haven't been replied to, a PM via oOple was answered but only that he was off with the flu so he would sort it on his return... ( excuse the sarcasm ) but this flu must be a killer... Shock horror no response.

I don't want to get nasty and arrive at his door unannounced but I'm understandably loosing my temper and seriously considering legal action to recover my outlay.

Matt was warned in a recent email that unless I heard back from him I'd post the entire email trail on here. I've decided that would be too time consuming that was Wednesday and I gave him 48 hours to respond, this is the result.

My apologies if this breaks any rules however as a disgruntled client of Matts I feel it prudent to let others know that you're probably best looking else where.

If someone can shed any light on the whereabouts of Matt please feel free to PM me.

I don't want to waste any more cash on this hobby after this experience. The hope had been for my lad and I to have quality time together but as it stands with what's happened neither of us has been to the track as the cars aren't complete.

Well kinda worryingly / reassuring I appear to not be on my own. I've been messaged by three others that have or are currently having the same issue.

I've no idea to the extent of the other fellow hobbyists but it doesn't paint a great picture for Matt now does it. i'm hoping that collectively we can potentially prosecute him for gaining money through false representation / deception, if the others are willing to get involved .

If the moderators want to get in touch feel free I'm livid and seriously want to knock the thriving indiviudals door down, but I know he's a very young family and wouldn't do that to them.

So where to turn now??? Any suggestions gratefully received

I currently have less than a handful of customers from oOple, Including our favourite For Sale Section Mod, Col. Due to time issues as you mention with family etc.. I have really had to cut back on my painting time. I'm lucky if I have had had time to paint 2-3 times per month this year.

I'm now in a position that i'm back on track (More or Less) I'm aiming to have most of the orders finished by the weekend, Including yours. As per my e-mail.

I must take the time to thank all my other customers for being so patient.

I notice there is no mention that I told you that I would do the B4 for free... Not to mention that out of 3 Shells you paid for:

1 Has been received.... and not been charged for!
1 Shell was never sent to me in the first place! Because you could not afford it. So by rights I should not need to refund this!

This is a very interesting point to note (in bold), as i actually purchased one of those LRP speedos from Matt on here. After over a week of waiting and countless pm's, i was told that there must be a problem.

I asked Matt for the tracking number which he said he would get, which a few days later he "couldn't find". After several days of asking, i finally got a refund and he said he would "take it up with UK mail" as it must be lost.

Doesn't sound very lost to me.

Just so i'm not being unfair here, any chance you can tell me what date you were offered these speedos Chris? That way i can check the timeline on my pm's, see what corresponds?

Quick check at my records. Speedo paid for 22/5/13, "sent" on 28/5/13, money refunded 6/6/13.

I'm not saying your lying, i'm saying what you told me sounded a bit suspect, you may well be telling the full truth, unfortunately full clarity isn't always available via forums, you have to rely on trust.

It's just a sore point due to when payment was made aswell as when it was posted. It caused my Dad to miss a Scottish regional which then meant he can't score championship points due to too many missed rounds, that's our fault though.

As for complaints, I'm not saying the people above don't have valid issues but to balance this up I must say I've got no issues. My lazer I bought a few months ago was spot on and was sent out quickly. Now hoping my new shell will be here soon but is still within the time he said it would take.

To customers, cmon its basic, would you walk into a shop pay £40 for something and not expect a receipt? ask for proof of posting, if he doesnt supply that and goes quiet after say 2 weeks then you open a paypal dispute, its then down to him to sort it out or he loses out and you will get your cash back.

I might be wrong but I think you only have 45 days from purchase to open a dispute.

I've been waiting nearly 8 months now and was told a month ago today that it would be posted. After a month its still not arrived, I've sent two PM's asking for tracking number and he'd told me would send later. Now after another two PM's with no response I'm considering my options on what to do.

Matt I've not responded to your email as yet as I was waiting for the shell to turn up. Which I believe was going to be finished by the end of wc 23/6/13.

No surprises that it not turned up nor the PayPal refund.

Legal action I'm quite willing to take as you have gained money and not delivered the goods, some might say deception/fraud. I don't want to as I can ill afford it but it really annoys me that you think that it's pathetic I'm glad you think so little of your clients that you can deceive them and laugh at the fact that your sitting on over £100 and I have a single shell. I appreciate you say your not going to charge me for the B4 shell as it was late. But the SSS shell has still not arrived, the reason the third shell never materialised is three part. 1- You failed to deliver on time the first shell ( loss in confidence and alarm bells ringing ) 2- little to no communication on your part which as a sales manager I'd have thought you would understand that communication to customers is really important. 3- Do you really expect me to send another shell for you to sit on it for 6 months?

The reasons are self explanatory you gladly accepted the money in January, the B4 shell turns up a week later than required ( upset 6 year old on his birthday), you agree to not charge for the B4 and agree a refund. However you don't have the money to do so. We agree a refund in the shape of two LRP speedos ( one faulty ) and supply and paint SSS shell. We are now in July and neither refund nor SSS shell arrived.

I fail to see how you think that it's acceptable. Given your sales manager role at work I'd have expected a much smoother process and integrity in your word, sadly this hasn't been the case.

I really didn't want to post this on here as I wanted to cut you some slack with you have a young family I understand how busy things can be but I'm sorry your lack of respect to me as a customer is disgusting.

You obviously don't have spare cash lying around hence the lack of refund and nor do I but I'm not pathetic wanting to take some sort of legal action I simply want what we agreed to nothing more nothing less.

This bloke is a complete nitemare,he still owes a manual for a dx3r that I bought off him in last year. Every time I asked him where it was, it had either been lost in the post or he was on holiday and would send send it when he got back, and it still hasn't turned up to this day. I know it's only a manual but it could of been something more valuable.

Total lier in my eyes. Just my opinion tho.

Matt Coleman is a waste of space, under no circumstances use him for anything. He has every excuse in the book, I've been waiting for shell for my 210 since the start of May, which I paid upfront for. I'm sure he will pop up on here soon trying to defend himself with some sort of excuse, do not believe him. Sounds to me like he needs his front door taking off its hinges! Nothing but a thief!!! Once again I reiterate, do not use him for anything where you pay upfront.

I have made everyone aware of the issues a few messages ago,
I recently moved house a few months back. I'm off again in the next few weeks so everything is a little crazy.

I'm away with family most weekend and have no service or internet connection.

For the few people I owe stuff to, everything will be sent Monday, if not already.
There have been one or two issues that the relevant people are aware of.

I'm not trying to rip anyone off, I just don't spend 24/7 on oOple.

Il be starting to pack the house up at the weekend, so all orders will be done prior.

If I was ripping anyone off why would I take the time to reply to posts?
I only take full payments if the deal involves me buying the shell!

I had the same problems, took 3-4 months i think it was for a shell i payed him for in november last year, he threatend to cut it up and post me the pieces! Obviously customer satisfaction/him lying has not improved over the last 7 months! Sorry to hear people are STILL having problems when it comes to matt.

Everyone is quick enough to leave negative comments, But for some reason not so quick to praise!

Every job I have on, Will be painted (If not already) and sent by the end of the week, I get the keys to the new place Friday, So il be knocking painting on the head until next year. Its truly not worth the hassle.

Joking aside, when i bought the Lazer off you it was sent promptly. The shell that im getting done by you was not promised within a week so i didnt expect it till later. Ive had a shell off another well known and respected person off here in the past and it took many weeks for me to receive it as he was also busy.

So for the record, im happy and my Vega will be even happier with a nice new shiny painted shell on it :):thumbsup:

...this is when i sold him a durango and part of the deal was he would paint me a shell as part payment....had all the usual e mails and it seems mine was lost by courier, but that was april and still waiting for it to be chased up... would love to know how many people gad either been let down or lost money here???

This is the first thread i check each day now. I really feel like i got off lightly after reading all the stories, getting a refund after a fortnight seems like it was quite a quick turnaround.

Matt must be the unluckiest guy ever with all these parcels that get lost by courier despite working for the courier?

Ok guys, Quick update.

Everyone that is waiting for shells etc from me.. They have all been sent. I have already spoken to one or two people about them.

I have no outstanding orders now.

Any issues drop me a message. I wont be responding to this thread again as it seems to have turned into a witch hunt, There is people complaining that have not even had stuff of me! not sure how that works...

Again quick note, I will knocking painting on the head until the new year.
I don't have the time to put aside. Nor want to let anyone down.

Matt, i need to know whats going on!

I messaged you on Monday asking you to chase up the postal service as the shell you sent to me 2 weeks prior to that had not turned up. You messaged me back saying that you had emailed them and that you would get back to me on Tuesday morning. Here we are on Friday and i have nothing from you, despite my PM's to you asking for any information, but no reply back, ive asked for tracking numbers, the postal service you used so i can chase it and ive kept it all on PM's as i like to give people the benifit of the doubt but im just not getting any information back from you.

What i need to know.

1/ Have you done the shell?
2/ Have you sent it if completed?
3/ Have you actually got proof of postage?
4/ If non of the above are you going to issue a full refund so that i can get this done by somebody else.
5/ If you have achieved some of the above Let me know! or let me have some information so i can chase them.

Please show some sort of urgency as this is getting to be a bit of a joke, especially at the track i race at :)

Please give me some information on the questions above, i know its been a very busy period for you but take 5 mins out of your day to give me and others an update on the whereabouts of their gear/equipment etc.

Well, im still waiting for the shell to turn up, and it seems the more i question you about it the less response i get from you.

Let me list down the milestones that have happened so far, i also realise that i have not waited the length of some of the other people but feel like im being strung along.

1. Placed an order and paid in full on the 11th June

2. 29th June you had run out of paint to do the shading so you were going to go to Je Models to get some more to be able to complete the shell.

3. 4th July you have the paint and will be doing it that night and will let me know when its shipped.

4. 9th July you say its completed on the Sunday which is the 7th and that you usually let the paint cure for a few days before posting. Also you will post a picture of it on your thread when you get home. No picture added.

5. 23rd July you say to me that it was posted the day before and that i should have it shortly

6. 26th July i expected to have received it but hadn’t so asked you for tracking numbers. You said you had them at home and would get back to me that evening, you didnt.

7. You got back to me after i messaged you and you stated that you forgot to get back to me but you would get back to me shortly on what’s going on, you didnt.

8. You got back to me after i messaged you again. You wanted my phone number so you could text me some information on the postal details, you never sent them.

9. 5th August, you say you sent the postal service an email and will get back to me the next morning, you didnt.

10. 12th August, after messaging you again you get back to me. You apologise and say you'll speak to the postal service and get back to me at lunch time, you didnt.

11. After leaving you another message to get back to me you respond with a note saying "your on it now and sorry for the delay and you'll get back to me"

12. Now you not even acknowledging any of my messages, i see you are coming online but no reply.

I absolutely hate airing my dirty laundry but i feel ive been left no option. I hope you read this and think that if you were the customer, how would you feel?

Please sort this out this week, i have asked for the last 3 weeks for the postal details so that i can chase them up and find out what is happening but you don’t send me a thing. If its not been sent TELL ME, if its been lost TELL ME and claim the money back from the postal service and issue me a full refund now, if its going to be on its way today/ this week TELL ME and i'll happily accept the shell when it arrives (so long as its this week)

Update me today please as this is totally unacceptable now. The 12 steps above do not include the multiple pm's sent trying to contact you with no reply’s.

Looking forward to a quick response and a resolution to this issue.

Dobber it seems your the only one who is out of pocket right now. I suggest you search for 'Mathew Coleman' on Facebook as he seems pretty active on there right now. Apparently along with his new house, he has also ordered a new car, so not so out of pocket id say so more than in the situation to sort you out.

I have contacted Matthew Coleman on Facebook and he promised me on Thursday he'd sort it Duncan out on Friday. As of yet, nothing has happened and I've chased him over the weekend.

I would suggest a word in his ear rather quickly as they might be a knock on his door, or even some turn up at Adobe Sofa's and want answers.

I think it might have gone beyond the money now, but if he returns said money within 24 hours any issues can be terminated.

i see no end in site as its been nearly a week since he contactd, me so if you could have a word with him then id really appreciate that.

For reference, ive been trying to get the tracking number off of him for 3 weeks. He has my mobile number as he requested it so he can text me over the details but never did. If he has no time to chase it I certainly will. In one of my communications to him i did state that if he was unable to give me this information by the end of that week then i would presume it had never been sent. I therefore now can only presume that he has not which saddens me as i gave him so much slack and gave him the benifit of the doubt but looks like ive been taken for a mug.

Please let me know when you receive a refund.
I am not able to close the thread as of yet in case there are others with similar issues.

HOWEVER, I do urge people to not post on this thread UNLESS they are owed money or shells.
If there is any slating or slurring they will be deleted straight away.


I rarely look in this section as im never in need of a new painter, and this has been going on for months without my knowledge.

The issue has been resolved and Matt will be issuing me a full refund by close of play today. It appears he has been let down by UK mail, but will remind anyone who sells items on here and has "customers" communication is key!

I'll then put them all together and have it sent over to Mathew of what needs to be rectified.

I've had zero contact from matt since reporting that there are still two people owed money / products / paint jobs.
I'm very disappointed as at first Matt was very open and wanted to fix the issues when we spoke. Now he seems to of done a runner for once and all.

For the members who are still owed, I can only think that a small claims court would be beneficial. As any paypal dispute would of went past its period to act upon.
Matt Colemans work place address is easily obtainable, so if a small claims was to be issued, a summons could be sent there.

Think my outstanding amount is in the region of £100 for almost 10 months now

I paid upfront for three paint jobs and to supply two shells.

To date I've received a single B4 shell painted, which Matt very kindly said he'd waiver the paint costs as he delivered over a week late ( it was a present for my son ) so all in all a £12 shell delivered.

As of yet despite my numerous emails I've been offered and promised a refund but i'm yet to see it.

My son and I have now jacked in the hobby as its left a bitter taste of deception, when we've sold stuff on oOple we've always ensured that the person buying is communicated with and goods delivered.

Unfortunately not all people have the same level of courtesy or manners these days and Matt appears to be one of these undesirable individuals that takes the money and runs.

Very disappointed and hoping that somewhere along the line he's dealt with, god help his business customers if this is his level of customer service

1x Paint Job & Supply SupaStox Shell
1x Paint Job JConcepts Blitz shell.

Thus far a B4 shell received, numerous emails passed back and forth and no apoligy, refund contact for what seems like an eternity.

I've received numerous offers of help from fellow hobbyists to sort the issue out but that means more expense for shells etc so my lad and I have packed it in, we were racing on a budget ( a very tight one at that ) and we've been taken for a ride by this individual.

Thanks for all the offers of help, but if this person can treat people like this knowing this was a father/son bonding time I hope that his little ones dont ever find themselves in this situation.

Please watch the for sale area for said B4 and a couple of HPI Blitz as we need to recover as much as possible.

in my experience fellow racers are friendly and inviting folk that are always happy to help out and to help grow the sport that we all love.
