I have got a brand new futaba 4PL system and wondered if anyone know if it will take 4AA high quality rechargables?
Yes I know they will fit
Reason I ask is the spektrum system I used to have would glitch and cause endless issues when using rechargables and wondered if futaba have the same issue?
cheers chaps!

Can the battery box be taken out and a 5 cell battery fitted?

yes it is removable.
the manual says only to use ht5f1700b and ft2f2100b packs
is this true or just marketing?
the size inside just allows for 4AA's

im sure someone on rctech has changed over, maybe do a seach on there. was also a crawler forum with a futuba expert on it called Harley.
I run a protek life in my 4pks from amain, had it all year, lasts ages between charges. maybe something like that works in the 4pl also as the standard battery pack in a 4pks is the ht5f1700b that you mentioned above
