Hi, my RC battery ( Voltz 1800 NimH 7.2 Volt Power Pac) needs 6 houer charge. But it runs out in 10-15 Minuets :/. If I swap my 1800 mAH to 4500 mAH will that go for longer time then just 10 Min??
Thanks :)
Yes, but will take about 3 weeks to charge on your current charger!
Sounds like you need to invest in a better fast charger.
Agreed.
When i started rc i had the standard charger and used a 3000mah battery
Took me 12 hours to charge!!
So i invested in one of these:
http://www.speedymodels.com/cr026---core-rc-udc20-universal-charger-for-nicadnimhlipo-1745-p.asp
And i can now charge a 5000mah battery in under a hour!
and Higher MAH=Longer run time.

Looking through the shop you posted the one I'd get is the Core-RC UAC50
(this one http://www.jespares.com/electric-models?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=11737&category_id=486) (http://www.jespares.com/electric-models?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=11737&category_id=486)
This will charge pretty much anything and will run off mains power too so you don't need a separate 12V power supply.
It will also balance charge lipos if you're thinking of getting them soon.

+1 on this recommendation.
I personally use the Ansmann XBase 2.0 which is usually one of the cheapest options, while still being good quality and comes with every adapter you could ever need; but the Core is on offer, and at that price is a great charger for the money.
Good choice from Sparrow.
I use this one: http://www.jespares.com/electric-models?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=1836&category_id=486 although mine is branded differently

@Col - wow, a great charger mate. Ive never seen that one before, but Charging Li-ion cells as well, and a charge rate of up to 8A is superb! Awesome price too. If I need a new charger soon, Id be going for that one. Cheers for the heads up chum

True, mate! I bought mine secondhand a couple of years ago and the price sticker on the box says £240...

I had that charger too once upon a time before lipo cells and only got rid of it because it didn't have an integrated balancer. Not a bad piece of kit and the display was cool to see when your Nimh were going to go bang but with lipo chargers generally don't need to be able to do much special stuff anymore nowadays.

Thanks guys :)
I think i'm gonna go for them two:
Charger- http://www.jespares.com/electric-models?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=11737&category_id=486
Battery- http://www.jespares.com/electric-models?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=12537&category_id=481
Good Choice??
No problem with either of those.
Thought about going lipo? Longer run times, easier battery maintenence, less volatile...

I Got A BIG Problem ;(
My rc ain't going forward, i can hear a beeping noise like it suppose change from going backward, but it ain't going forward. When i pull the trigger on the controller to go forward its beeping and going backward, ant when i pull it other way its just normally going backward ;(
What have you changed?
What kit is it?
Is it the ESC beeping or the motor?
Brushed or brushless?

Hey variat
What car do you have and have you maybe changed a setting on the transmitter? Check the instructions to see if you can reset the speed control to the transmitter also.
