If you want the proper one you need either the Tamiya Shock Pump (http://www.rcmart.com/rc-damper-accessories-tamiya-54152-remover-p-28887.html) or the Ride Air Remover. (http://www.rcmart.com/rc-damper-accessories-ride-29000-remover-long-p-33479.html?sID=23ae10476fd1b431c080ef41c1d41d4b)

If you want an vacuum pump for a fraction of the price of the r/c car ones, get a Vacuvin Coffee Saver and make a platform for the shocks to stand in. I made a stand for my shocks from a square of styrene sheet with 4 holes in it for the shocks to hang from with two strips in a T shape to hold the square up.

Amazing. Thanks. How on earth did you find out about this thing?!

Browning brand one as a pellet pump as a fishing accessory.. Can be brought for less than a tenner. You'll need a platform / stand knocking up like Terry suggested above.

The Tamiya one is probably the easiest and most expensive. Convienience = cost.
Another alternative - Get 3 large syringes, 3 large split pins, a 't' piece vaccuum fitting from halfords or a scrap yard and a length of pipe which fits on the end of the syringes and on to the 't' piece.

Drill same size hole as your split pins through the centre of your syringe shaft above the rubber seal about 15mm up - this is the one your shock will go in filled with oil. The other 2 syringes you need to drill the hole in the shaft half way up and the rest I will leave to your imagination.

This IS fiddly but it works and it was cheap, quiet and fast ! !

First time I saw these shock pumps I noticed the pump part is exactly the same as the pump on the coffee saver I already used for removing air from moulding silicone rubber, although at that point I hadn't thought of using it for shocks.
So for the r/c specific ones you are paying £10-15 for the pump and chamber, and £15-20 for the shock stand and sticker on the front.

I've had the browning fishing one for a while now. Works a treat and a lot cheaper than the actual ones.

To hold the shocks I've got a block of wood with 4 holes in it. I drilled it all the way through with one size drill bit and then I redrilled 3/4 of the way down using a larger bit. I can then use it either way up depending on whether I'm doing touring or buggy shocks.
