Hi all,

Some of you may have met Andy Smith at the Xmas GP. He is the 1/10th offroad BRCA Rep for Northern Ireland and he is putting togther a BRCA Regional Series this year.

Andy will be announcing the details as soon as he has them finalised.

This message is just to make sure that anyone wishing to compete knows that they will have to be a BRCA licenced driver to do so. To become a BRCA licenced driver go to www.brca.org (http://www.brca.org) and fill in the form - it costs GBP £16.00. It takes about 1 week to arrive in the post.

You will need your BRCA licence number when entering the events.

Regards,

Will

These are the following dates for the BRCA regional series.

Round 1 26/27 May @ BADMCC
Round 2 16/17 June @ NIMCC
Round 3 28/29 July @ BADMCC
Round 4 22 September @ Drop Inn (TBC)

There will be practice on the Saturday from 10:00-12:30. Then race meeting will commence on Sunday.
The day will run along with the 1/8 RCCAOI National rounds. This was done to avoid clashes of dates and free up space on the calendar for other events such as 1/10 RCCAOI National events etc.

Recommend Tyres for NIMCC and Drop Inn are Schumacher Mini Spikes (yellow compound). The Tyres for BADMCC are Losi blockhead fronts (4wd) Losi x-2000 or Losi bigshot rears (both 4wd & 2wd) or Proline Calibers PLEASE NOTE SPIKES ARE NOT PERMITTED AT BADMCC !!!!

Hope everyone can make this series happen as this is the first it has ran for several years. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the clubs for their support and helping me make this happen.

You must be a BRCA member to compete in this series. It costs GB£16 - see www.brca.org (http://www.brca.org) - do this at least a couple of weeks before the first round to avoid disappointment

Hi all,

I got all the info about tyres for this series from Andrew Rennick yesterday.

Losi X-2000 and Losi X-3000 are the control trye for 2wd. As the X-3000 superseeded the X-2000, it is more than likely that everyone will end up using the X-3000's (RED Compound).

Andrew is supplying them at Modeltune's normal retail price trackside (limited supply). However, if you pre-order, he will give you a 20% discount. Preorders will have to be made at least a couple of weeks in advance (max order is 2 pairs per event at this price).

Andrew also informs me that a set will last you the whole day, however he expects the more experienced racers to use two sets.

More info as it comes.

Best of luck to everyone competing this Sunday at Round 1 of the Northern Ireland BRCA Regionals.

I'm collecting Colin in Clontarf at about 7am on the morning of the event.
And I'll be stopping in the motorway services at Castlebellingham at about 8.20am - so anyone heading up can meet me there.

From BADMCC Forum

Just a reminder that Round 1 of the RCCAOI 1/8 Nitro Off Road is this weekend at BADMCC alongside the BRCA 1/10 NI Regional Round 1.

Practice is available on Saturday for anyone taking part in either championship.

1/10 practice runs from 9.30am-12.00pm
1/8 practice runs from 12.30pm-5.00pm

Practice on Sunday morning will be as follows:

1/10 practice runs from 8.00am-8.30am
1/8 practice runs from 8.30am-9.30am

The track will close at 9.30am and first heats will be off the line at 10am sharp.

Remember you need to be a signed up member of the RCCAOI to run in that championship. Forms are available from the RCCAOI website (see link in post below). Please download a form, fill it in and bring it along with your payment of £15 if you are not already a member. Anyone that is already a member only pays £5 for the additional class. Race fees are £12, on top off the membership fees.

Its looking like it will be a scorcher both off and on the track so bring plenty of fluids and sun cream.

See you all there

Could be a seriously early start on Sunday morning for the southern drivers!

was a good series..shame it wasn't best supported except for us hard core bunch but enjoyed it very much.
thanks to Andy smith who did his best for us..
thanks again to Andy for loaning me his dingo thingy for the a main on Saturday as my centro expired and threw it's guts up all over the track..
a very quick run round and a couple of very quick set up changes to at least get it drivable...and hey presto!! won with it lol..
was really impressed with it actually..lots more potential for that machine..
nice to get a feel for another car and know what it's capable of..
thanks again cheers.!
