Hi,

I have this esc fitted in my 2wd buggy in preparation for racing at Bury tomorrow.

It is set up with v1.08_11108 mod and 10.5 sensored motor and at the moment planning on using nimh as I think it will be too fast for me with lipo.

Any links to what software/firmware (not sure which is which!) is most upto date etc would be useful, and which best suit a 2wd buggy/this motor.

Settings....
I am a new (well old really but not done it for years) so novice driver, what settings would you guys recommend as a starting point to work from?
All this timing and turbos gives me a heeadache! lol

Ok, next question!

When I set the tranny....
I hold down button switch on,
it beeps, quickly release button,
full throttle, button, two beeps,
full brake, button, NOTHING?,
If I slowly relese throttle it beeps 3 times near to neutral pos.
I dont think I am getting full brakes?

What is wrong?

Thanks

Alan

NOTE: each time you change the software/firmware on the esc you have to recalibrate it to your transmitter.

this may help

Press the button on the esc and turn the switch on. Release the button when it cherps at you. Leave the transmitter alone and press the button on the esc, this sets the neutral position and should beep once. After that step put transmitter (tx) too full throttle and then press the button on the esc. That sets full throttle, it should beep twice I think. Next put tx to full brake (all the way back) and press the button on the esc. You now need to switch off the esc and turn it back on. Job done......nearly. If you can change the end points on your tx change both positions to 108% as it ensures you always reach full throttle or brake. Hope this helps.

your TX settings for reverse is above the limit of your ESC. adjust the EPA settings on your TX , this will solve your problem. had the same issue on my TX.

Thanks, unfortunately I will have to wait to try this as after only 50yds of driving my new speedo decided it didn't want to work anymore.
No light, no power to wheels, but the fan still goes round and still supplies power to servo.

Alan.

Fans power is directly connected to the discharge leads.

where did you buy your ESC? sent for repairs? bummer for this types of circumstances, you have to send it for repairs and wait till it get fix, it should be 1 for 1 exchange from the LHS.

had one issue with my 4pks tx, it had lcd lines problem, informed my trusty LHS and said they will replace it, no questions asked.

let me know if you still have the same issue ( calibration) when it gets back from repairs

I had a similar issue with my speedo when i connected the wires round the wrong way  Anyway we cut the wires to the capacitor and the speedo worked fine again :) I didn't use like this, but could then order a new capacitor once i new what was wrong. Not suggesting you try this if you have any sort of warranty, however if you don't and know how to solder the wires back on afterwards it might be worth a shot?

Bought from giantcod, first time dealing with them but they seem to be recommended on here and went for them over cheaper import for the support services,
I sent it back yesterday special delivary so they should receive it today. Hopefully they will just replace it as it was only delivered on Thursday last week.

Got mine from there, much better option to send back if you can :)
