Schottky Diode

I've added these diodes to all my motors with my forward only esc's, however I have one of these peak dynasty motors with the different style endbells. Am I right in assuming that the diode is still required? I only ask the question as I can't remember seeing any motors with this style endbell with a diode or capacitors installed !!?

I always ran mine with a diode. Just solder it to two of the tabs you dont solder the wires to.
