This time in the jet V car race the jet cannot take off so that is going to be something. Does a jet going flat out on the ground understeer or oversteer ?? Love to see it on opposite lock tyres smoking.

only thing on tv i make a point of watching, lost its way a little maybe? too much time taken up with pointless challenges, maybe thats a little harsh, good watch tho

Top gear was pretty good last night. Jokes were funny, cars were good. Overall very impressed. The India special was AWFUL!! but they have improved, after the bad reviews.

I quite enjoyed last week, but what did people think tonight?
Not sure if my sense of humour is going, but I found tonight's episode pretty poor - especially the filming of a car chase.

Im now off to write a letter to the Daily Mail and to Points of View!

T o be fair clarksons car chase bit was'nt too bad it did get some good scene's. Hammond should have been left back home. May giving it beans in the fiat was ok but a big thing for me is drop the star (who) in a car

I thought it was quite informative really tonight, ie Power to weight ratio !!!! That's it i'm going to loose some weight so i can go quicker and brake sooner :p Yeh it was a bit poor tonight.

Xmas special was poor, week 1 was ok, last week was poor and today was poor.

I cant even watch the news bit any more, its pure cringe.

In fact its a sad time when the only good part about Top Gear now is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car segment.

on a positive note the 300 bhp evoke sound interesting

I thought the finished car chase was actually pretty good, and would much rather have seen more about how they did that than the bits with Clarksons silly dialogue and Hammonds daft stunts. The filming sequences were something new and different for the show, the pratting about was just the same tired joke.
I actually liked May with the Panda. Probably because truth be told, he's right.....

, that was the section I used to hate the most, now it's the best :woot:

After about 5-10 minutes of the car chase bit I just turned over, I don't find the 'humor' funny at all - pretending to be rubbish at everything then acting surprised at peoples staged/scripted rections :(

on a positive note the 300 bhp evoke sound interesting

A 300 bhp bulldozer is still a bulldozer :p

The Twitter post 8 hours ago from Richard Porter (the guy who does the Sniffpetrol.com website, writes for Evo mag and is the TopGear script editor) said it all:

"So anyway, tonight's TopGear. Sorry about that"

Admittedly there were a couple of laughs but it really really really has turned into a caricature of itself. In fact even as I was watching it I thought "This is weird".

Very poor episode, the news part was like a group of guys chatting at the pub, whole thing was like a badly written comedy sketch really, format is past its sell by date i think.

I found last nights show a bit crap. It was ok until they started to do that daft car race scene. I am wondering how many more series they can do before they get canned.

john333
13-02-2012, 01:20 PM
They just seem to be trying a bit too hard these days.......they will have canned laughter next!

wish they'd just get back to what they do best which road tests and road trips / races. The Bugatti Veyron trip across Europe against the plane, and the Mclaren SLR run to Norway were stunning pieces of TV.

Smashing up Focus' and Jags for virtually no laughs is just a waste of money.

No one likes it... are you all still watching to remind yourselves you don't like it?!!! :D

Stop watching, then it might change... ;)
