Sony announced recently that GT5 prologue is going to be bundled with PS3's when it comes out. I cant see it saving you loads of money though since the game only costs £20!

Nah, its dead easy, just get a good car - which you should have already by this point - stick it on b-spec mode with pitstops and overtaking enabled, leave the car on medium pace and speed up the time to the max, then just leave it running and go to bed. When you wake up in the morning you should have won - well, it worked for me anyhow. Cheating, what cheating :D.

Mmm, quite. BUT, still no damage modelling for heavens sake - if they've managed to licence Ferraris, why can't they get all the manufacturers to agree to allow this?

I would love to see the full car list for the 2009 full-version release - I'm willing to bet they've taken out the DeLorean from GT4 and I don't suppose they'll have put a Mk2 Ford Ezzy but I expect they'll be umpteen seen-one-seen-em-all Skylines/Mitsubaru Evobishi's and loads of Mazda Bongo Pantryboy Supremes. It'd be a dream if they could issue regionalised versions ie, European (incl limited US and Jap stuff), US (incl limited Euro and Jap), and Jap (incl limited Euro and US) etc, then we could just buy one that takes our fancy or even all 3. I'm sure that idea is way impractical, costly and would p**s off a lot of people tho.

Shame, also a shame all the tracks are pants (other than that on in the mountain that i cant remember the name of), where's Grand Valley of Fuji 90's.

It's not an incredibly inspiring list of tracks, although I think Suzuka and Fuji Speedway "save the day". I'm definitely a fan of Suzuka. Apparently the London City track is pretty special too.

I ordered the GT5 Prologue edition PS3, which turned up moments before I had to leave for work this morning. I can't wait to get home and give it a try :thumbsup:

First load up of GT5:Prolouge and you will need to install an update. Some updates fail and this is for a number of reasons. The update required allows you to play online.

More infor here.

When you all get the game, don't download the update at the first prompt, load the game up and then go into "GT:TV" it will then ask you to download it again, the download is more stable in there for some reason.

You can also try the following:

Even if an error occurs during the update, data downloaded up to the error is saved. Repeating the update will complete the download normally.

The update can be resumed as indicated below:

Select News in My Page after starting the game
Exit the game with the PS button, and restart the game.

iv played the demo,the graphics are ace as is the handling,but has anyone seen the advert for DRIVER GRID,looks everybit as stuning as GT5,but if you hit somthing it falls off and doesnt bounce off,i know the purists will say well if your a good driver you wont bouce off anything,so its not an issue,but it is if you want some realistic racing,everyone make mistakes and you get punished(ill still be getting it though):thumbsup:

Ive opened the special class bit now, races getting tougher but i was getting the f430 drifting round the corners at 120mph :D

I got my copy on thursday and i was absolutely amazed. The update thing was a bit annoying but i did that overnight so didnt really bother me.

The online racing is good too although it does just seem like a free-for-all. Its good fun anyway.

I shopped around when i first got the game and decided to go for the RX8 which is an absolutely amazing car for the money. I've now also got a Suzuki cappucio, a swift sport (tuned), a Honda Integra, an Evo 9 GSR, an '07 skyline, an Audi R8, a BMW 1 series tii, and i just bought a Ford GT! :D

I still cant get over the level of detail in this game, i was amazed when i watched a replay on the mountain track and saw the grass at the side of the road move when the cars went by :wub

I'll give you one guess at my username ;)

I haven't played online yet either. If you wanna go online without running cables just buy a homeplug.

I havent just played the game online although it is useful because it still pays out credits for your finishing position (unless you just want to repeat the same race over and over in single player mode :D) I havent got a wireless network, just plugged a network cable in the back :thumbsup:

Single player is good but dont think theres that much to do, only about 30 races in total i think?

My copy turned up yesterday and I finished the C class races last night, and did a couple of B class ones this morning.

This game is as awesome as I was expecting it to be... got to finish A/B/C to get tuning though :)
