Hi I have a old yokomo mr4tc speical
It is my first time building a chassis
I built the 4 shocks all the same and when I fitted them to the car the front sits about 2-3mm of the ground and I have it screwed down half way

Tho the back is ok, it is sitting about 5-6mm

Should I be using longer shafts in the front shocks
I can't see what I have did wrong

It's possibly you have built it wrong, double check the instructions and in particular the shock and suspension mounting positions.

Another thing is that the Yokomo shocks have a tendency to come up a bit short when built, you can build them longer by either using the longer shock ends or unthreading the shock bottom a few turns (covering the newly exposed threads with a small spacer).

It's been a while since I have seen an original MR4 and I can't remember what tricks people used to build them.

Have you put the pistons in?
you may have used too many inner spacers on the shafts?
Have you used the wrong plastic parts on the bottom of the shock shaft, as some are long and some are short.
