Hi all

sorta of getting back into Mardave's again after a few months off..i have a few questions about the developments to legend that is the Mardave v12!:wub

1.damper thing.. how does it work the rear pod always being solid hows does this damper operate and what is the effect? (is the solid plate no longer used?)

2.when racing against the g2 Brushless system with a 4.8v nimh..what would you all consider a good comparison when using a 3.7v 1s lipo with a 540size motor..ie 10.5t, 13.5t or 17.5t?

3.carbon fiber chassis's.. how much lighter are they compared to the standard aluminum chassis? do you notice it much for circuit racing

4.vrxce chassis?..with the front spacer thing how much difference does it make it?

5.z drive what it is? what does it do?

6.tc shells compared to lets say a 205 shell... how much difference do they make?

Cheers in advance for any help given

1. Damper isn't solid. One end is fixed to the chassis, the other to the pod. It's a tube with 'straw' that slides inside. You adjust the oil weight circa 30k for the Mardave (diff lube), wt to adjust/ control the rear pod to help the car rotate in corners SIDE TUBES / DAMPER DISK LUBE

THICKER - increases front traction - adds steering. Slows transition and softens steering in fast sweepers. If car is double steering on power use thicker oil to slow reaction time but if go to far you can see inside rear tire lift in tight corners.

THINNER - decreases front traction - decreases steering.

3. At the TRCC National Vince had 100g under the battery to get to the weight limit of 950g for the National Circuit Series. My alloy chassis has brass under the battery, but not sure how much. This is if your run 1s/13.5BL. NiMh's and G2's will be different

4. Z-Drive.
