Well after finally getting my buggy working again with some new electronics I see there is a V3 (yes a bit late I know).

But what would you all say the necessary changes are from the dex410 to the V3?

Are the HD ball ends better? I have popped a few of the regular ones and im just wondering if the HD one are a lot tougher?

other than that I dont see a lot of changes that look to be too beneficial.

so some input on the new HD ball ends compared to the old ones would be great.

And please let me know if there is anything im missing.

There is a full spread on the Durango homepage about the changes.

Think the *best* of the changes are to big bore shocks and the HD ball ends. (which are far better than the stock ones)

The ball ends you can get for a few quid. The big bores are about £110-120 a set. Almost worth buying the car just for that! Other than that, it seems to be convenience (rear hanger) and tweaks (plastic side pods, nitrided shafts, driveshafts, carbon towers)

Maybe its just me but im not a fan of the hd ball cups i like the rpm ones and im not a fan of the big bores on the 210 i need a little more time with them and im sure ill get a good setup but i have smallbores on my 210 atm and lovin my 410r with a few upgrades biggest is metal suspension hangers but lik the small bores on it but to b fair i havent raced it on a bumpy or outdoor track yet but will l8r in the year :)

Yep for now I have no problem with my small bores. even on big tracks that are meant for 1/10th SC and 1/8th buggys.

So I will look into the HD ball ends and the Rpm ones too.

Edit: Dose the new rango V3 come with different diff seals to seal it up better?

I belive it now comes with the shock seals from the 8th scale car, I've got them in my diffs, no leaks at all now:thumbsup:

I would put your money into a 2nd hand 410 full fat
You get miles more car for your money.

So you think its beter just to get another durango instead of buying the few upgrades that are necessary for my current durango?

The few changes there are dont seem to be worth a couple hundred dollars

If look into it the, upgrades alone are as much as the car,
You can get the old full fat 410 for as little as £150+

Then you also benefit from the rest of the car for spares

I might look into buying a Dex410 V3 and then selling all the unwanted parts. As I am on a tight budget and it might save me some $
