Extra weight in a 210

What, if any, extra weight are people running in their 210's? Is it more on low traction tracks and less on astro etc.?

I run mine with the Cream battery blocks http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83078 (http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83078) giving an extra 48g in the car. Running the car on a polished floor/carpet mixed surface. The few guys that have the DEX210 at my club seem to be running similar weight under the battery.

I managed to get 10g under the steering brace with room for a 5g on top, a 5g standing in front of the steering rack and another 5g standing between the front tower legs with room for another couple as well.

I'm running a short lipo all the way back. Which changed the weight distribution from 60% rear / 40 front to 61.5/38.5. Today I put a 50 gram lead plate under the lipo, now it's 63/37. Total weight 1585.

Every time I add weight to the rear the car gets better (in mid motor 4)

What surface are you all running on i don't have any wieght in mine and it's fine but i've only drove the car on cork type flooring (Worksop / Chadderton)

I've changed from a lpf servo to a full size one, and am now going to try 10g up front this Sunday.
If I dont have the slipper set quite loose it likes to wheelie, also I have struggled with on power steering but seem to be dialing that in now.

Are you running rear motor or mid motor config?

It's weird to me that you want to add weight up front in mid motor. I weighed mine and someone elses 210 with a full size lipo. Weight distribution for both was about 60/40. Do you know the weight distribution of your car? I'm now at 63/37 and it still oversteers a bit (on astro).

I've been told 65/35 is about right for mid motor cars.

That was on high grip carpet, the main reason because with the really high traction the car wants to wheelie unless the slipper is working overtime.
I was using worn tyres and found the rear wouldnt step out at all, only thing I would have liked is a bit less dive under breaking but that coud be sorted easy enough.
Steering is good for me right now, but thats with stagger ribs.
Any grippier front tires and I would need to change the setup to suit.

I'm not the fastest driver but this is just what I have found.

I'm now at 63/37 and it still oversteers a bit (on astro).

Is your oversteer on power or brakes? You could try 4mm trailing, I found this makes the car smoother in the turn and suits my driving at the minute. (not exactly rapid!)
also why have you put the rear hubs forward?
if when breaking try stiffer spring heavier oil in the front?
Your setup doesn't seem too dissimilar to mine really?
Have you tried the ballistic green rears? Sometimes they can work better when it's cold?
I'll be going outdoors myself soon so it will be interesting to see how I will change things around.

could you post a photo of your steering set up as the only problem i have with the car is bumpsteer and i am using 10mm ballstuds and the max spacer i can fit is 4mm.
