This is currently on Sky Anytime and i've been told it's well worth watching so thought i'd stick something up here!

Also if you're interested in the whole kind of how nature survives thing there's some really interesting stuff here about Chernobyl showing pics now of how things have changed without any people living there - it's absolutely shocking but really interesting!

Hahaha that's what i was thinking of when i first saw the pics!!!

The real life stuff is crazy though - how Tree's just smash through concrete and grapes are growing up through flats after being planted in peoples gardens and stuff

I remember watching a 'return to Chernobyl' documentary a couple of years ago, and those people living in the fall-out area are really suffering, cancer, dying, ill health, poor buggers.

I remember when the Power Station went tits up, and when they went back to investigate why, the USSR was trying to cover it up and ignore it, and the inspectors thought they Geiger counters were faulty cause they were ALL going off the scale...

Yeah, that kinda stuff is pretty interesting on documentaries and such.

Yeah i saw one too about how they used helicopters to chuck a load of concrete in and the pilots basically knew they were going to die due to pure exposure of radiation but they had to do it to try and save everyone - pretty scary stuff

they also did a film about the inspectors, who were dying as they were taking readings, and the realisation on the locals when it was to late to leave.

I remember the scare of the radioactive cloud, as it drifted over northern Europe too

Yeah i remember the programme saying how Russia denied anything had happened but Sweden picked up radiation so they soon had to own up to what was happening!

We had a girl come to our school for a year that had come from there, she along with a load of others were lucky enough to get out!

Pretty interesting site you posted Nick, some of the pictures are amazing, just to see how the entire area has grown into a small forest, and the way nature just takes over. :eh?:

I watched it on the History channel the other night, was pretty cool to see how there will be next to nothing left to show the existance of the human race after only a few hundred years, only the REALLY big things like the Great Pyrimid will be around:o
