Diff oils are one area I have noticed massive variation between drivers

Going thin to this 10k front and rear etc.

Unfortunately he won and he got one for his birthday but its up to him to put the electrics in it , so he should be up and running in about 5 years:)
What oils to you recommend:confused:

Hi

I use 10K front and rear nearly all the time. I have tried a number of different configuration but found that this gave the car a very balanced feel on both high and low grip surfaces.

Diff oils are very much an individual setup and i would suggest trying a few different options once you are used to the car. The lower the diff oil in the rear the more the car will want to square up on the exit of the turn and this can make the car feel unbalanced if you are not used to it.

Here is my setup for dry astro and i know that a number of people have used it and said it seemed good

Ive played about a fair bit with diff oils and still cant say that im 100% confident one way or the other. To be fair, ive not had the chance to properly test and assess
From what ive learnt and tried so far, I too feel it is very much an individual thing depending on driving style. Ive only ran the car once outdoors and didnt change the diff oils then
Indoors, I have tried 10K all around
My starting set up is now 10k front, 3k rear, with 10k all round, for my driving style, I found the back end to step out lot accelerating out of corners, running a lighter oil in the rear seemed to cure that
I ended up running 12k front and 7k rear for the final at the off road wars and the car was dialled
Very much a personal driving style preference thing I feel. Going to do proper testing outdoors soon though and will post my set ups on TD's website

To be honest im not too sure. I just use the tappered pistons as i find they give a better feel and settle the car down quicker on tracks with big jumps. I would suggest trying 6 Hole @ 1.2mm in Front and 6 Hole @ 1.3mm in the back and see how it feels.

It will really depend on the track and how you like the car to feel.

Have a look at some of the other setups for the DEX410 on the TD website to see what pistons/shock setup other drivers are using

Outdoors on grass i ran 12kf 7kr, to get the same feel indoors on astro 10k all round ,this evening i tried 5k in the rear and was doing exactly the same lap time but the car felt quicker and turned in a lot quicker ,i had to put 10% dual rate on to slow the turn in down a little. Initially it felt totally different to drive!!!
So i think 10k is a good start point and just try different when you have time and enjoy the car:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:.

Not raced my car on astro yet, but on carpet I find 7000 front and 3000 rear suits my driving style best. Also using closed cell inserts up front help for me by taking a little bit of front end away.
