its a redesign of the coke bottle system that red bull have being using since rb5(2009 car)..they trying a different exhaust layout which is further forward..what this could mean they are trying to force the exhaust gases against coke bottle side pods and gearbox cover and feed the exhaust gases back into the diffuser..they reason they changed the position of the exhaust further forward is that the normal air traveling around the car would trap the exhaust gases more easily against the coke bottle gearbox cover and force into the diffuser..compared to further back where the air is in turbulence..complicated poo i know but's that formula one!!

(btw what i have written above is my guess)

I guess more rear end in a nutshell. Hopefully it will get banned. Sounds bad but otherwise may be a boring season if they fly away again!

Why cover it up when you have just done a number of laps with it all out in the open for anyone to photograph?

We used to do this at major meetings - throw a towel over the car and don't let anyone see it. Mostly we didn't have anything, but when we did...

It's blown rear suspension. Basically they have directed the exhaust gases over the shaped rear suspension components to create downforce that way.
