If you want everything in one box and excellent parts back up then the cougar has to be the one.

I would choose the Vega but not the B4 one, rather the RB5 or the new 201.

Schumacher has the best back up bar NONE. Simple.
If you want parts and an awsome car no matter what, schuey all the way.
Its the latest car from many a long track tested Race, the team will vouch for that.
Go british and you will get looked after!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::t humbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::t humbsup::thumbsup:

Time will tell, it's not how these cars go round in the hands of the superstars, but how racers of a lesser ability can handle and drive the cars. Start the poll in a months time, and the results will be very different.
For me at the minute - Cougar based on ££ alone.

point is he could not get a new chasis from vega, so had no choice, he is now happier with the c4.1 though

Vega all the way:thumbsup::thumbsup:,altho I have the RB5 one, that I am told is the best type:wub. if you want a cougar, sit back and let the first batch go, see what mear mortals think of it...as the last one was the worst car I have ever had:woot:.all we have on the new one is hype on how good it is,and results in very talented hands.......the only thing schumacher got very right on the last car was the build up to the release
.
On the + side, the new car must be better, they would have to work bloody hard to make it worse
Yes I know, I poking the schumacher massive with a stick again:lol::wub, best brace myself

Vega is 100% British, all material is British and manufactured in the U.K - hence the price. We don't have any of our products manufactured from China etc. (Just in case you didn't know)

Everyones opinion is valid but those comments seem overly harsh
There are countless Cougars that I see every week going round the track very happily. It's certainly the best car I've owned in 30 years, and I've got an SV2 on order

I can't understand how the SV2 (sorry James) that is not out, can be better than a proven car? Can someone explain this for me or is my age getting to me??
And before anyone makes a comment  i think the Cougar is a great car, but I also think a Kyosho Vega is a fantastic car

I agree, I can't see how you can compare something thats proven and tested against something that's not even released yet.
A more interesting comparison would be the Vega against the C4.1. Two conversions with the same aim. With the simplicity and proven results of the C4.1 and the impressive engineering quality of the vega it's a hard choice.

Over the moon with my Kyosho Vega. Sometimes you need to queue for parts but that's because they are bespoke fabricated by a one man outfit. Combined with Kyoshos quality mouldings it's a class act. They have a couple of retailers who are most helpful and have always sorted me out.
I'm sure that the Cougar will be a fantastic car too and fast in capable hands. I ran a pro for a season and aside from the std front c hubs it was very reliable and easy to drive.
There are teething problems with most new cars you may have noticed. The trouble is that without intending to point any individuals out, a lot here bounce their cars upside down off every obsticle at 25mph and are then shocked when it breaks, bends etc and come on here moaning. It's unrealistic and quite funny really.

Hi
I had a cougar last season was good but the wear on the parts was just too much for me,and seemed a little on the brittle side no i dont hit things,Diff was ok but nothing special, dont forget though problems on new cars when they come out schumacher did a new gear box and gave them out as a free replacment i beleive to the 1st batch customers.
But now got a rb5 wc vega kit all i can say is wow the best cars for fit i ever had was the xray cars but kyosho is there with them all just fell together perfect, diff is awsome just like the b4 build no silly c clips, shocks are the best and smoothest i have built.
I did the end of series finals last year and one car just stood out how it jumped and went around the track, only upon looking closer did i see it was a vega rb5,but run mine a few times now it has to be the best car i have seen on and off the track you can feel what the car is doing.
Not saying the sv2 wont be like that but i would wait and see if you can what people think about them .

harsh,na if I realy let rip and ,If I were to be totaly frank about my cougar days I would realy stir it up and upset people, but there is no point whatso ever:D, water under the bridge now,
Goes to show tho,I have been racing for 30ish years.....and wanted to run the car over with my truck:lol:. You have raced for the same amount of time and love it, so it realy is marmite, as are all cars

Was refering to the previous sv pro and I suppose time will tell with the sv2 but the issues I had were with build quality with a number of components. The b4 vega is at the other end of the scale in my view, but only my humble opinion.

Can`t be that pants Mike one finished 3rd overall today in the Chadderton winter series championship :thumbsup:.

he asked about the sv2!
If you want to be pedantic, nobody (apart from a team driver who has driven both (SV2 accessibility)) can give a relevant answer to this question. And having a quick blast with a car is very different from owning and maintaining one. This said, i'm sure a team driver would not experience difficulties in getting replacement parts to the extent that us mortals do,so would they factor this in to thier evaluation?,...i think not.
Anyway Durango all the way!........sorry not relevant:thumbsup:
