1995 Predator Drivers

Just a query on the drivers of 1995 from the BRCA Nationals that year -

probably one for Tony Evdoka ...

F-1 TTech 95 Pro drivers I have are :

Kevin Moore

William Mitcham (Round 3 Onwards)

Manny Panesar

and

David Burton ( I think )

possibly but not sure Richard Barton ? Or was he a CAT 2000EC or something else that year :confused:

any others ? (F-1 from 1994 OR those achieving F-1 in '95)

I think thats the lot ?

I think Rob Gammon was in the team that year? or was that just '94? I still have my TTech '95 from that years nationals, I was only a F2 though. I say only, its better than I can muster these days!...

I'm fairly sure James Lovell ran the Predator in 1997 , Rob Gammon in 1994 maybe early 1995 but by the time the Nats started in 1995 he was with Yokomo .

I have the list with names , but the chassis isn't so easy to place - I am gathering all these together to put results charts together for each year.

I'm sure David Burton ran a TTech 95 Pro in the Radio Race Car series that year ? so I'm guessing he ran it in the BRCA Nationals .

Richard Barton ran the Predator in 1996 but not sure 1995 , Paul Bradby, Matthew Moore ran the car a little later .

My friend who was an F-1 Predator driver later says he's sure Neil Cragg drove the Predator prior to his dominant 1999 - 2001 years , but does anybody know when it was and what car ???? In 1995 he finished 30th in the Nats , I assume with a CAT 2000 EC ...

I think another F1 drive running a Pred in the mid 90's be Ian Kenningley, t'was a loooong time ago so could be wrong!!

The year that a lot of those top guys first ran the car was 1998 - after Will Mitchum won the national series in 97 (with an XK5 that was modified to run saddle packs). I'm fairly sure that James Lovell joined up in 97.

In 1995 you're still talking about the carbon moulded chassis with the add on gear box casings, the car wasn't anywhere near as popular then. I think Phil Murton was running it then, not sure about others as it is before I ran nationals personally.

Myself and Ian Kennigly both raced them in the 2001 season, before that Ian was racing Losi XX4

2001 Euro's Ian won with it, and I was 4th....

I can't honestly remember Dave Burton running it back in the 90's though... Dave was an A-Team driver for Losi from around then thinking back....

Phil Murton also TQ'd the 1998 Euro's at Teeside with the Pred.

Graham Alsop is another name that ran it for years, and i've not seen mentioned here yet!

Simon Delph used to make the odd National A with one too.

IIRC, Jamie Booth also ran one quite successfully at the same time as Mitchum and Alsop.

I've a good record of all the A final placings now 1994 - present , it's the F-1 drivers (or drivers who became F-1) who didn't quite make it to the A (at the time at least) finishing in the B/C/D finals etc that are harder to spot and record.

Dave Burton drove a TTech 95 Pro at the Eden Park round of the Radio Race Car series towards the end of 1995 and the text states it was his 'new' car. However what was his ride before this during the earlier part of 1995 ? was it a Predator XT or Yokomo or CAT maybe ??? (Losi XX4 wasn't released)

I seem to think Richard Barton was driving something other than a Predator in 1995 ? - really I'm only enquiring into these two drivers for 1995. I'm getting to other years later

Russell Williams and Richard Savage both ran T-tech back in the 90s RRCI championship and Nationals, I remeber Rus making the A final at Tiverton but I cant remeber what years- i think it was with a P8 so would have been earl 2000s

Phil Sleigh and Tony Bishop also ran P8s
